I chose Fierce Productions among many proposals I received on Thumbtack because its enthusiasm and depth of experience was evident from the beginning. It was the best decision I made. Fierce Productions’ professionalism and creativity made planning my daughter’s surprise Bollywood-inspired birthday party such a fun and easy experience. Laura’s thoughtful touches and attention to detail assured for a beautiful party which my daughter and her guests will remember for a long time. I will be hiring Fierce Productions for all my future event planning needs.

From our first discussion on the phone to the end of the wedding night, Laura was amazing! We hired Laura to coordinate our day-of activities and she started working with me the month before the wedding to get the feel of what we had already worked out and what needed to be completed. She jumped right in and was able to smoothly and effectively pick up where I had left off in the planning...and made it better. She had great ideas and worked with me every step of the way. And the day-of was tremendous, from the time she met me at my hair appointment until the end, she coordinated everything perfectly. I couldn't have been happier. My wedding party gave me numerous compliments about Laura, saying she was professional and on top of everything, but in a fun and respectful manner. I recommended her services highly!

When my husband and I were beginning the process of planning our wedding, we found ourselves overwhelmed. Originally I didn't think I needed a wedding planner, especially since we were trying to keep our budget as low as possible. GOOD GRAVY was I totally wrong. Laura from Fierce Productions worked with us over the course of nearly a year and made literally EVERY aspect of planning a wedding easier. She helped us find a venue, led fun productive meetings to brainstorm creative ideas, and helped us wade through endless options of caterers, decor, flowers, etc. Closer to the wedding she took care of so much of the nitty gritty logistics I didn't have time for (and honestly didn't even know I really needed to have done). I felt like she really made a successful effort to "get" us and our style and what we were going for, instead of suggesting boring generic stuff. And she was consistently full of awesomely creative ideas (my husband is a writer and she suggested putting borrowed working typewriters on each table for guests to write notes to us. How cool would that be??) She was smart, decisive, and fun to work with. She was so motivated that she was often the one getting things off the ground and lighting a very needed fire under our butts. And I honestly think we spent less money in the long run because of how many great ideas she had to keep costs down. In the end, my husband and I had several people tell us that our wedding was the most fun wedding they'd ever attended. I give so much of that credit to Laura and her fantastic planning. I'm not sure I could've found the kind of crowd planning and sound design that she and her team provided in another company. Planning a wedding was one of the most stressful and complicated things I've ever done, and Laura just made it SO much easier for me and my husband. So if you're on the fence about wedding planners, do yourself a favor and hire Laura at Fierce Productions!!

Laura and her team were so helpful, all the stress I was worried about melted away after our very first meeting. She was able to customize her services to what we needed and was there every step to make sure we had all our bases covered. She was so thoughtful, so prepared and so impressive that even my little brother says he wants to use her for his (someday in the far future) wedding! I knew we’d pickes the right folks when I saw pictures of my mum actually relaxing and having fun instead of trying to take care of everyone like usual— that speaks volumes. Because of Laura we will truly get to cherish every memory of our wedding because we were able to be fully present for it.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I love to get to know my clients and build rapport- where they're from, what their favorite foods are, where they shop, what inspires them. I love going to my clients homes so I can get to know their style and taste. I make sure we get to know each other and have some fun because we will be working together side by side for quite a bit of time. Before we meet, I send a form to my clients including questions like: what is your budget and guest count? What is your dream event? How did you get engaged?
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Coming from an acting background, I am extremely personable and communicate incredibly well. I have expertise in executive assistance and personal assistance which has taught me how to make incredibly detailed and organized. I have produced theater and live events for 10 years.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I originally moved from Miami, FL to Chicago to study acting. I was in many plays, voice overs and commercials. I started to produce my own work and started a theater company. In the meantime, I was planning fundraisers for many theater companies, parties for friends and parties for myself. I planned my wedding and loved every second of it. This is what hooked me. I realized that event planning incorporates all of my best skills: producing, organizing and creativity. I started my own business in 2016 and I've never been happier.
