He was great to work with initially, and I was very happy with his responsiveness while the work was being completed. I truly appreciated the effort he put in at the time.
The reason I can’t give a full 5-star rating is because it’s important for contractors to ensure their work holds up over time. One area where he installed a kitchen cabinet has since become loose, and it appears that whatever was used to secure it has loosened.
Additionally, when installing my bathroom vanity, I wasn’t given any guidance or suggestions about protecting the wall from water exposure. Unfortunately, the paint behind the vanity has now started to chip. As a first-time homebuyer who was very excited about renovations, I would have valued and taken seriously any advice from an experienced contractor.
The work was completed in 2024, and for well over a year I have reached out—offering to pay—for these issues to be fixed. Communication has been inconsistent. When he does respond, he mentions being busy, but follow-through has been lacking. I even agreed to the price he quoted to fix my kitchen island side panel and cabinet.
He did come once, about a year ago, to look at the items I wanted addressed, but said he was busy building a home. Now in 2026, I’ve reached out again. He has responded, but when I ask to confirm a date, I don’t receive a reply.
This is disappointing because my husband and I are very loyal to people we hire and often give repeat business. This could have been a great long-term working relationship, but the lack of follow-up and support after the job was completed has been frustrating.

Dak Construction was the best contractor we have ever worked with in Lake County. He was punctual, professional, reasonable and had very innovative ideas about our renovation. Danny renovated our bathroom and kitchen. When he said he would be at our house at 8 am, he was! This was not our experience with other contractors in the past.
In the bathroom he did everything- tile, tub, shower, vanity, and even made a frame for the mirror (the mirror and glass for shower are on order and will be on next week). He saved us some money by making the frame and getting a mirror fitted for it. The tile work is very professionally done! He came up with suggestions that really put the cherry on the top to finish it off. Everything in there was beautifully completed.
In the kitchen, he had someone do the counters, while he cut off the annoying shelf on our center island. He rerouted the plumbing and electrical for the island. It turned out beautiful! We are so very happy with his work.
I would highly recommend him for your renovation projects. He is a true mast of his craft!

Danny and team did a tremendous job on our basement tile project. We had work done that left our floor half demo’d. His team came in, cleaned up the jagged tile and replaced with brand new. You can’t even tell work was done! They were punctual, quick, and really did high quality work. Highly recommend!

Dak Construction did a tear out/demolition of our master bathroom ceramic tile floor. He was very reasonably priced. It was a lot of hard work and I’m glad he and his buddy did the work. They were very clean and protected all surfaces that they traveled through in the home. Highly recommend

We had an amazing experience with Daniel from Dak construction. From start to finish. He responds very quickly and was right on time. He is very professional and knowledgeable. Daniel knows what he is doing and did a fantastic job! Great quality work. We had all new doors and trim installed and he took his time and made sure they were installed perfectly. We will definitely be using him again for several more projects we have coming up.
