- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My fee is based on the service and any additional requests they may have like assisting in writing vows, attending rehearsals, ect. Counseling is a set hourly fee which includes travel. My fee is pretty nominal as I believe what I do is very important, but is not something I am going to make a fortune doing. I do it because it's my calling and it's what fills my soul.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I study traditions of all different cultural backgrounds, and pay close attention to current trends so I can understand requests that may or may not be traditional and exceed their expectations. I continue to renew my Ministry license every year, I attend conferences throughout the year to learn different or new techniques in bring people to a healthier place in their lives.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
In my 20's I was a Family Service Counslor at a cemetery. It enabled me to understand people of all different backgrounds at their most vulnerable, and to guide them through the most difficult time in their lives. I then began my studies as an Interior Designer and through my career, I again was successful at assisting people with very difficult decisions, conflict resolution, troubleshooting, team building, and finding and highlighting the characteristics of strength within them to create a harmonious team. I was also working with a lot of couples and individuals who needed to work on things in their lives that were hindering them from evolving. And because I authentically listened and cared for them as if they were my own, I have always been quite successful. Even as a child I felt I had a higher calling. I began officiating at both weddings and funerals and felt the most fulfilled I'd ever had. It's a privledge to bring two people together as they take that next step on their life's journey.
