FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
For tutoring, my standard fee is $30 per hour, which may be negotiable under special circumstances. For editing and photographic services, it depends on the job and is negotiable. However, once a price is agreed upon, I will complete the job as promised for the price agreed upon.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to talk to the client about the job so we both have clear expectations and time frames. With tutoring I like to meet both the student and a parent (online via Skype or something similar is fine) before we begin.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I taught high school English for several years, and have been tutoring on and off for years and have several regular students for the past several months (through a tutoring academy I work with). For the editing and photography services, I have an M.A. in English, have published a novel, and in my decade at Arcadia Publishing I editing hundreds of local history books and scanned and corrected tens of thousands historic photographs. I have a proven ability to meet deadlines and successfully complete the job.
