Allison helped me jumpstart my organizing journey back in January. With only 2 sessions together, she transformed my apartment. From the minute she arrived, she jumped into action and we tackled my closets/all my clothes. She asked non-judgmental questions about whether I wore items, and helped me get rid of 8 bags of giveaways (that she took to goodwill for me). She also allowed space (literally and figuratively) for sentimental items.
In our next session, we did my kitchen, laundry room and some of my living room. Allison is a doer and wasn’t afraid to get her hands dirty - adjusting the shelves in my cabinets, standing on counter tops, vacuuming, etc. She also has a great eye for design and helped me reimagine decor I was struggling with.
It’s now May and I’m moving out of my place in 2 weeks and I can’t even tell you how grateful I am for Allison’s services. I’d be in a very different place without the sessions with her. Getting this jumpstart really helped me to keep my place organized/nice as well. It was a humbling process but so worth it. Only wish I had done it sooner. Hire Allison, thank me later.
Allison was a huge help to me in organizing my condo! She helped me create files and organize all of my paperwork. I’m so glad we chose Allison to help us with our homeorganization goals! We are starting a process of decluttering and organizing with a plan of putting our condo on the market in the coming months. Allison provided advice for each room in our home and gave great tips for when we get to the point of staging. Allison was great! I’ve been needed to go through my clothes for forever but never had the time or attention span. She helped me go through every item and even convinced me to donate 4 bags worth of clothes! She organized all my drawers and color coated my closet. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge 55.00 per hour with a two hour minimum. I reduce my rate to $50.00 an hour for repeat clients
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to discuss the scope of the project and view any pictures that illustrate the problem area. Before I arrive, we can talk about your goals, expectations and budget as well as what items- containers, organizers etc. may be of use. While I can work independently, your feedback during the process is helpful. Discussing what no longer serves you and what has great meaning is important. I strive to organize in a way that highlights your most used items, reduces unnecessary clutter and simplifies your lifestyle.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a B.A. in Design and have been organizing, decorating and staging the past 2 years.
