David bid on both interior and exterior paint job and I ended up hiring David for exterior paint job and have since regretted doing it many times over. The project took almost two months, although some of it was because of bad weather.
Some of the notable items:
New excuse every day of why David did not come to continue the job
On the days he would show up, it would be at 11 leaving at 2 with a break for lunch
Quite a few times David and his partner showed up drunk
Promised power wash and thorough scrubbing - some of the paint and caulk were peeling up till the last day.
Promised two coats, had streaks of original white all the way till the last day
Did not use any deposit money on materials, asked for more money w/o doing much of anything.
Backed off few items that were in contract - had to replace some damaged wood, replaced only couple of pieces of trim and 2 siding boards, said the rest was too much work
Tried to stick a 1x6 board of wood in place of a cedar siding board
Asked him to get Sherwin Williams, found out he was painting with Glidden, in places paint looks 50 shades of beige
Left all the garbage lying around
