FAQs
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
When I was 13 years old my family bought their first PC. This was at the time where a PC was around $2500, and you had ONE in your house. We had purchased a Compaq Presario, and we were amazed by the things you could do on it. I was impressed by how this machine worked, and I wanted to know what was inside of it. I used to take the case cover off and just stare at the components, then I wondered which components did what. So I would order PC component magazines and look through the parts they offered. I matched them up with what was in our machine and figured out what I needed to build one. I then got an opportunity to work on ours, as our PC was getting slow and needed a memory upgrade. I purchased the proper memory and installed it, and it sped up our PC. I then learned to work through the BIOS, and learned about drivers and software. Anything I have done has been self-taught for the most part. With schooling as a background. My passion has always been computers and I will do this my entire life.
