Belinda was absolutely amazing, she looked after out new dog pheobie while we were away over Christmas. I immediately felt comfortable leaving her in charge of our pet & home when we met & my confidence continued to grow. Belinda clearly loves dogs & pheobie obviously felt at ease with her very quickly as they were playing & gelling within minutes. Belinda sent daily updates with pictures to us which was sweet as we missed her & could see she was happy & ok. I would highly recommend Belinda & will definitely be using who let the dogs out again, in fact we already have her pencilled in for our next trip to Mexico. Thanks Belinda.

I cannot say enough positive things about Shauna and Furry Hooligans. She is incredibly thorough and thoughtful in her service and genuinely cares about my fur babies. I have an elderly dog with severe arthritis. Shauna comes every day while I am at work to walk him. It's difficult for him to move and she is very caring and patient with him. Recently, I was called out of town and Shauna pet sat for my animals (my dog and cat). She was very caring and thorough. She even sent me pictures of my animals so that I knew they were happy. What I appreciated most about Furry Hooligans is how much Shauna genuinely cares for my animals. I highly recommend her service.

Nicole at Great Pet Vacations was a Godsend to our family. Our 14 month old yorkie poo was disobedient and had awful manners. We did not have the skills to change the situation. In June, we did 9 days of board and train with Nicole and we all were amazed at the initial results. Cocoa immediately was more reliable with potty training, would not cry in her cage and did not attempt to escape her pen. In July, she went back for the additional 12 days of the board and train program and can now sit, lay, target, walk on a leash, leave an item alone and is a calmer more obedient dog. Nicole is a miracle worker and takes her time demonstrating how to continue working on reinforcing the behavior with the owners to ensure continued success at home. She spent more than an hour with us at the intake consultation in order to understand our training goals. In addition, she spent more than 2 hours upon exit. It is clear she loves the animals she cares for, treats boarded dogs as her own, and is a superb dog trainer. This experience was every thing I hoped for and more than I expected. We plan to continue training sessions with Nicole and give her our highest recommendation to others.

I wanted to say something about Dilis Dog Academy and their approach. I have been to the “box stores” to learn training, but let’s face it, you get what you pay for. I got a certificate that said my dog passed, but I couldn’t get him out of the store! I shopped around and looked at the qualifications of the trainers available to us here in the Chicagoland area. That provided real world training with effective and lasting results. Tom has 12 Standard Commands that if your dog learns, then you are awesome. His Three Critical Commands held to the standard of the Four Variables of Proofing (can you tell that I tried to learn as much as I could, and how he tries to instill this in us?) can be life savers. You want results, hire Dilis Dog Academy and commit to the training

My 3 dogs look and smell great after getting groomed here. One of my dogs is part Schnauzer and we always get him a schnauzer cut, which isn't easy to do, I've been told. She did outstanding. I also have a yorkie who was dealing with an injury and she was able to work with him. After a bad experience at PetCo and having visited multiple dog grooming facilities, I am beyond pleased and satisfied with my experience at Deja Vu's K-9 Corner. I will be going back to get my dogs groomed here.

I highly recommend Sue If you're looking for someone who is very professional with more than fair rates. However, I felt her most outstanding quality was her kindness and compassion for my elderly dog, Duke. It is a huge relief, when going out of town, to know that your dog is getting the very best of care each and every day.

Jeanne has been watching our dog for 7 years! She does a great job and is very accomodating, especially with last minute schedule changes sue to the airlines! Our dog loves to go to Jeanne's, and we can relax in knowing that our dog is being well-cared for and getting all the attention that she needs!

Denise and crew have been walking my dogs for over fifteen years now. I would never want to have anyone else. Whenever I have had something unforeseen come up, Four Paws has ALWAYS stepped up and helped me. They care about my dogs as if they were their own. Years ago when I first realized I needed dog walking services, I had an unfortunate experience with another company (they simply 'forgot to come'!) so it took some time for me to trust that Four Paws would not 'forget' us. I feel fortunate to have found them, and I am not kidding when I say I don't know what I would do without them.

My husband and I have used Cedar Lane Kennels for about 20 years! We are on our second and third dogs we board there. The staff has always been great and the dogs don't mind going! They are always making sure the "kids" are happy! One year Peter called me while we were on vacation due to our one Bull Terriers had an infection and wanted permission to take her to his Vet! We love that each pet gets their play time and a bit of extra attention! Thanks Cedar Lane Kennels!

Entrusting Mr. Barkypants, my first-born son, to a dog walker is akin to how I imagine it might feel to someday entrust a less furry child of mine to a nanny: He/She sure as hell better be committed, conscientious, able to survive blizzards*, and love Mr. Barkypants as his/her own. Using this (perhaps slightly unreasonable) standard, I interviewed many, many dog walkers before I found Walks With Zara Chicago Dog Wlalkers, a dog walking company that Russell and his business partner own and operate. Though I haven't yet had to put them to the blizzard test*, it is clear that Russell is an excellent dog walker and human being. I feel strongly about not having just any random person walk Mr. Barkypants: I've witnessed how some walkers who work at larger operations treat (or rather mistreat) the 5-10 dogs they walk at once. Sadly, it doesn't seem uncommon for some dog walkers, on the north-side at least, to roughly yank leashes or yell and scream at dogs, or to refuse to stop walking to allow one of their charges to use the little dog's room, or to tie dogs up to a post in the park while the walker enjoys a cigarette and long chat with his friends. I am confident that Russell does NOT do this; Mr. Barkypants would probably behave very differently with him than he does. Interestingly, though Mr. Barkypants isn't terribly fond of strangers and he is particularly non-fond of strangers who are male and who wear hats, he took to the hat-wearing Russell like he took to liver treats from the first or second walk on. Russell has a gentle, quiet, calm, non-domineering manner with dogs (and humans, really). He isn't embarrassed about speaking to dogs in goofy voices -- a talent I quite appreciate. Moreover, wrt his human dealings, too, Russell is prompt and as honest as Abe: He lets us know when he isn't able to walk a full hour (because of severe weather or sickness) and deducts from his pay despite our asking him to take the full amount. Rates, by the way, are extremely reasonable for Chicago dog walking, especially since Mr. Barkypants gets Russell all to himself on walks. According to their website, Russell is bonded and insured as a dog walker and is a member of the Association of pet sitters. I can speak with knowledge about Russell's excellent credentials as a dog walker. He *will* treat your dogs with respect and patience -- or at least I'm pretty sure they will based on how they've treated my first born son. I can't recommend him enough.

About

This dog that I babysat before didn't like other people and only prefer me to come to see him and he know my voice and the way I cuddle him and play with him. My husband came with me one time, he was so shaken. So, I knew I was special to him.
