First Solution Remodeling rebuilt our basement after water damage, and I'd hire them again.
We got bids from five contractors. First Solution's proposal was the most detailed of the group by a wide margin. They named the actual door line, trim profiles and finish instead of leaving it vague, which made it easy to see exactly what we were paying for. When we came back with questions on spec and price, they answered straight and worked with us to get to a number that made sense.
The work itself is excellent. The hardest part of the job was restoring the wine cellar, and they did a really nice job with it. It looks great. The project ran a bit longer than planned, but that time went into doing it right rather than rushing to finish, and it shows. They also went beyond what we'd agreed to in the contract without making it a negotiation. That doesn't happen often with contractors.
If you want a remodeler who cares about how the finished job looks and holds up, I'd recommend them.

Lukas and his team did a great job on our basement. It looks amazing and very modern. The stairs turned out incredible. I honestly didn’t expect something like this was possible. Highly recommend — really happy with the result.

Solid carpentry work and precise drywall installation made the wall repairs invisible. The surface is perfectly flat and ready for decor, showing a high level of skill in structural finishing and interior preparation.
First Solution Remodeling's reply
Thank you, Joey! Making wall repairs disappear is what good drywall and carpentry work is all about. We appreciate the kind words.

Lucas and his crew have completed two projects for me so far: a basement renovation and a bathroom remodel where they converted our bathtub into a shower. As always, the quality of their work was first-class. I’m very happy with the results and will definitely use First Solution Remodeling again for future projects. I highly recommend Lucas and his team
First Solution Remodeling's reply
Thank you, Anna! We’re glad both the basement renovation and the bathtub-to-shower conversion turned out the way you wanted. It’s a pleasure working with you again, and we’re here for your next project.
FAQs
What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We give a free in-home estimate and a detailed price after we see your space and talk through your plans, so you know the cost before work starts. The final price depends on the size of the project and the materials you choose.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
1) A free in-home visit to see your space and talk about your plans. 2) A clear plan and a detailed estimate. 3) Construction by one team, from demolition to the final coat of paint. 4) A final walkthrough together before we finish. Our work is backed by a 12-month workmanship warranty.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
We have been remodeling homes and commercial spaces in the Chicago area since 2015. Our team handles framing, drywall, tile, flooring, painting and finish carpentry itself, so one crew is responsible for the whole job.
