- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Always ask for references and most importantly, examples of their work. Expect to pay $1.00 per square foot for smaller jobs, and as little as $0.25 per square foot for large jobs. Assume an additional $400-500 if the drawings require a separate engineering stamp and signature. Also expect to pay 25% of the agreed fee up front for the first job. This serves as a retainer and is common practice in the architectural engineering industry.
