Look for someone with lots of experience. There are too many inexperienced technicians in this business who often end up doing more harm than good. Look for someone who can explain things in plain English. Many computer technicians seem to only be able to speak using highly technical terms that most people don't understand. Look for someone who is reliable and trustworthy. Don't take your chances with someone who may try to steal information from your computer, or who will overcharge you for unneeded repairs.
