Introduction: 8 Years ago I spent 4 days in the hospital and almost died. "his kidneys are failing!" I heard a nurse burst out as they rushed me into a wheelchair out of my hospital bed after fainting. After every test in the book. Nothing came back positive. I spent the next 4 days in the hospital with a 104 degree fever, chills, and extreme headaches. It wasn't until my parents packed me in my hospital bed with ice like a fish at a market that my fever broke. the next day they let me go home. No answers. A little scared and confused I took a step back in my life and asked myself some questions. I realized that as lean as I am ( I 27 years old, 187 lbs, 9% bodyfat and in the "best" shape of my life) I feel like SHIT. I had been feeling like this for a while and ignored it. I looked good so was healthy I thought. But the truth is that being healthy is more than eating and exercising a certain way. And since then I've set out to reach new levels of health teach others to be TRULY healthy themselves. I see you... You've been eating the foods and doing the workouts. But you also don't feel good. You feel worn out, tired, no energy, bad sleep, snappy with friend and families. And you are not losing weight. which has affected confidence, self esteem, self worth. You've had personal trainers in the past...and...you've seen progress! You've achieved results. BUT... You STILL haven't found a way of doing it long term. I know you have been trying. You've read the books. You've tried all the workouts. You've tried all the diets (Keto Karen? Paleo Paul? I never post shirtless pictures on social media, but wanted to share a little bit about my journey over the past 6 months … I made a commitment 6 months ago to change my heath. I knew I couldn’t do it alone, so asked for help. I hired what I originally thought was a personal trainer and got out of it a personal trainer, nutritionist, workout planner, well-being coach, therapist and friend. Thank you Alex Cook! The last 6 months have been about just a few key changes - more water, periodic workouts, and more movement - and has resulted in losing 24lbs and 9 inches in my waist/hips. All while simply being more aware of what and how much I ate. My getting healthy goal does not stop here, but I now have the tools necessary and cannot wait to see what the next 6 months bring! If I can do it, you can do it … just take that first step and ask for help! You won’t go wrong with Alex Cook!!!

Overall working with Alex was a great experience. What I valued greatly was the 360 degree focus on health, wellbeing and this allowed me to create a positive mindset towards health. The skills I picked up from Alex will go a long way towards my long term health goals - which is exactly what I was hoping for.

I always wanted to make change to my overall wellbeing, which goes beyond exercise and eating well. The right mindset and mental health are as important when it comes to achieving your goals, no matter how small or big they are. That is why I started working with Alex, to connect the body and mind. In the last 5 months I managed to gain more physical strength, and I look better than when I was in my 20s! But I also understood what matters to me, what choices I need to make and how to prioritise my wellbeing in more sustainable way, so it is part of my lifestyle, not another chore on my to do list. If you are looking for a patient and understanding personal trainer, who can tailor the workouts around your needs and working schedule, and at the same time really pushes you to achieve your goals, I really recommend working with Alex.

I was motivated to make some BIG changes in my life, so I started searching for someone to help me accomplish my goals. I did a little research and I reached out to several personal trainers, Alex was one of them, He was very responsive and set up a call so we could discuss my goals. After talking to him I had no doubt in my mind that I found the right person. He asked the right questions as a trainer would do but also he was so caring and down to earth that I established an immediate connection with him. Shortly after our first meeting he shared material to read, podcast, books etc. ( all this not only changed the way I see fitness now but also made me reflect the way I interact with everyone and everything around me). He provided me with balanced food choices and amazing work outs. After 2 months now I can honestly say I never felt better in my life. I sleep better, I eat better and after 4 weeks the changes in my body were UNBELIEVABLE, (when looking at my pics, remember that was after ONLY 4 Weeks) as this is only the beginning of my journey . I thought being in my 50s I had to accept that building muscle and losing weight was in my dreams only. Alex made that dream possible, because he genuinely cares about my success and the rest of his clients. He embraced who I am. He offers a groups to support each other. He is always there to answer any of my questions and support me, even if I am just venting. He is so motivating, knowledgeable and pushes us to make this changes where we love doing our work outs (they aren’t easy but who wants easy any ways :) . If you are looking for changes that will not only change your body but they help you find that balance that we all need and deserve to ourselves then YOU NEED Alex. Because I am changing and my energy level went from 0 to 100 I am able to motivate the rest of my family as well! WIN! WIN! I can wait to see what I will accomplish as the training goes on. I am happier and I feel better than I ever did! Icing to the cake is that in ONLY four weeks lost 3 inches in hips and waist! Like I joke with Alex….everyone needs an Alex in their lives!

Working with Alex was awesome. After dieting and exercising for years, I felt like my relationship with disordered eating has been mended and I lost 17 lbs in the span of 6 months. More importantly though, through all the ups and downs, I felt like Alex was the best support system and constantly helping me combat negative thoughts and feelings that would hinder my process. I never felt judged by him, I would text him random thoughts and questions, we would plan out my meals before I went on trips, and have deep conversations about anything holding me back from my goals. I have nothing bad to say about my experience with him and I learned lessons that will stay with me forever. Even though we aren’t currently working together, I will probably work with him again in the future and I’m really excited about utilizing the tools I learned from him to reach more of my goals.     My pricing does not reflect solely a per hour rate but rather everything that goes into helping make sure you are set for success. This includes but is not limited to our 1-on-1 sessions, coaching, programming, nutritional guidelines, strategies, and tools to help make your transition into a healthy lifestyle. There are both monthly and paid in full payment options!

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

    I like to schedule a brief call and discuss your goals and habits and routines! From there we determine whether we would be a good fit working together.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

    I have been certified through the ISSA with different certifications over the last several years. I also invest in 1-on-1 coaching myself with doctors and coaches from all over the country for my own personal growth and knowledge.
