Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: Being creative and unique, having a balanced design, completed with quality craftsmanship, passion and knowledge is what brings it all together. Easy for us to say but yet difficult for others to compete with. We get the opportunity to work in an outdoors environment, where no two houses are the same and therefore every project has a different look, feel and challenge. We also enjoy our work so much because we find it difficult for other contractors to 'copy' our style, which adds even more value to what we do, and we take that to heart.

If you are looking for an amazing transformation with your landscaping on a reasonable budget - Joe Rubino is your guy! Joe transformed our boring, small backyard into a beautiful paradise where we now entertain all of the time. Joe designed a plan and did all of the installation to double our usable space, create privacy all year long, plant low-maintenance perennials that change colors with every season, and add accent lighting to create an inviting, peaceful ambience. Joe installed the brick patio, the fire pit, the accent lighting and all of the trees, bushes and perennials that continue to be healthy and thriving. One of the things I most respect about Joe is that he's a great listener and creative problem-solver. I had a wish list a mile long with the harsh reality of a limited budget. Joe was brilliant at suggesting options to achieve the overall look and feel I wanted while staying within my budget. Best of all, Joe made the process so fun because he is so nice, accommodating and professional. My husband and I were so thrilled with the transformation of our backyard that we hired Joe to do all of his magic the following year on our front yard -- and had the same wonderful experience and results. Our neighbors are in awe of how much it improved the curb appeal of our home. I'm so grateful to Joe every day as we're outside enjoying all the beauty of his work.

I hired Rubino Landscapes to construct a brick patio, privacy wall and fire pit. They also cleaned up all the overgrown plants, shrubs and trees, and planted beautiful tall spruce trees and flowers. They cut a clean precise edge around the planting beds and put decorative stone around all of them. I couldn't believe the difference I saw in my yard. The work Rubino Landscapes does is amazing! It is professional and done with efficiency. It is clear to me this company knows what they are doing. The project manager, Robert is a source of knowledge. He is so kind and takes the time to hear my ideas and explain what will and will not work and why. I've learned just because a plant is beautiful it may not grow in an area where there is little sunlight or too much wet ground.:) I have already contracted Rubino Landscapes to now work a new driveway and covered courtyard. I can not wait to see the finished product. If you want quality work and a beautiful yard hire Rubino Landscapes.

Would not recommend this company for spring clean up. I I have to say I am truly disappointed in the performance of the work done. When I met them at Holiday Inn business show and inquired about yard services, I was assure that all sticks and leaves would be cleaned up, and trees circled. I would expect to be able to mow my lawn after have a spring clean up done, but that can not be done. the amount of sticks left in my yard was very unexpected. We have had spring clean up done in the past and I can't even compare the work done by this company. There was quite a bit of work to be done before we could mow our lawn. I sent an email to explain my disappoint in the job done and was told they would be back out the next morning. Well it happened to snow that night and the stick were obviously covered. They made one pass though the middle of the yard and picked up the couple sticks in that path. I was very shocked that they would have even tried to pick up sticks in the snow or not pick up sticks.
Rubino Landscapes's reply
we understand that some yards require minor cleaning while some yards require extensive TLC, like this one. We did respond and follow through with this homeowner promptly by coming out the next day as we said we would. Despite a brief over site of some sticks, We spent over an hour combing through the yard to be assured all was great, yes a light dusting of snow on the ground didn't keep us from working even on a Saturday, but wanted to follow through as we said we would to make sure everything was tidy. We didn't hear back from the homeowner, as the lawn looked mowable again, despite the dusting of snow, assuming we did a great job following through. We are available to be contacted during the week to assist with any landscaping work. Have a great season. :)

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

Meet to discuss ideas, budget and often an estimate can be provided on the first appointment. If the project is more detailed, then more time to plan may be required.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

BFA in lighting, special effects and animation

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

I have a BFA covering special effects, lighting and animation. I transitioned my '3D' talents to 'real life' scenarios, which led me to starting off with landscape lighting but now run a full service landscape company.
