Introduction: I've been in the sales world for over 15 years now and it's been a fun ride. My sales career started in the home improvement industry. I was a windows, siding and roofing installer for a new company at the time, Bi-State Home Improvement. They were low on work, and they tried to keep their very best crews busy during the slow months. One of the owners kindly informed us that we would be laid off for the winter, or we could try it out in the phone room. He said that if anything, you will stay warm this winter. That is how I got my start in sales! I worked my way through the ranks and ended up being a regional sales manager. My fiancée at that time, now wife, Kelley, wanted to have kids and buy our first home, but my job was not a good fit for the lifestyle we wanted. I ran across a company in the marketing and advertising world, and I fell in love with it. There was no more traveling, and it didn't take long to realize that this is what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. I spent six years at that company, and then started my own agency. Safety Solutions Plus LLC provides emergency education materials to fire and police departments nationwide. We also do web design, SEO (search engine optimization), and advertising and marketing consultation. We also do print advertising and computer repair.
