FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Most every job needs to be evaluated on its own specifics. Certain big box stores that quote $200.00 up front are cheating their customers as some problems are fixed in 10 minutes. The key is to hire someone who is trustworthy, fair and is as concerned about your bottom line as you are. This behavior is what will provide the repeat business and referrals that I need to remain successful.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I belong to numerous tech boards where IT experts share their knowledge, discovery and problem solving techniques. Traditional classroom training is of little value in this field as things change quicker than a class can be planned and taught. Keeping current is our biggest challenge and one of the things I enjoy most about the IT profession.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
Setting up networks, PC repair (ie. virus removal, hard drive reformat), Data recovery from damaged hard drives, consulting/cost cutting.
