- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I've always had a lot of writing responsibilities at work and when I lost my job in 2009, I started looking for ways to make money during my job search. I started writing for a couple of online content services, and have been writing freelance since then.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I have performed a wide variety of writing services such as manuals, business plans, resumes and cover letters, web content, feature articles, sales letters, and press releases.
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
I recently wrote a business profile for a fellow student in my managerial communications class. He owns a screen printing and embroidery company and I thought his story would be of interest to local newspapers. I interviewed him and pitched the story to 5 local papers and one editor contacted me immediately. The story made the weekend paper the following week.
