My fiancé and I have been working with Linda for the last several weeks. Being in a long distance relationship, my fiancé and I were happy to find someone who could counsel with us over the phone and accommodate our needs. When searching for a counselor, Linda was very quick in her response to me. We've been pleased with the material and assessments she uses, which helps us evaluate our relationship, building on strengths and working on weaknesses. Linda has a professional yet friendly demeanor and is always on time. My favorite part of our assortment is when we talk about things that have happened during the week. Linda gives us wisdom and practical ideas for coming up with solutions to work out our differences. This advice is so appropriate to our individual personalities and our relationship (and she never chooses sides) that we will continue to seek out her expertise when we hit any bumps in our marriage road as well.
From our initial phone conversation, we felt very comfortable being open with Rev. Porter. I enjoyed his laugh! He gave us some ideas that we'd never thought of and seems very willing to carry out what will be our dream ceremony, adding special touches. He suggested marriage counseling and really told us what the value is. We hadn't thought of doing this, but will after his recommendation. We look forward to meeting him and beginning this journey together.
I have had two meetings so far and do not think we will need many more for now. I still have many things to do on my own and probably will need a brush up in the future. I was having 1-2 counseling meetings before and all I did was talk and talk then time was up. When I arrived Mr. Cohen listened to me and replied back without judging me. He explained what hypnosis is and how we were going to use it to make changes. He let me receive a free assessment with a chiropractor and fitness coach. They have both helped me also with exercises that have also made me feel better. When I came in, I was hoping to do hypnosis with only one meeting but I was actually the one to ask for another meeting in a few days. I was asked to wait a week for our next meeting so the hypnosis and my exercises could start to take place. I feel much better because I understand better what was wrong. I even saw my old counselor once and she saw my change. She asked for Mr. Cohen's number too.
Before coming to Anita, we were very desperate and we both really felt as if our marriage was coming to end. Anita was able to help us through marriage counseling, communicating and negotiating our differences. At times, my wife and I obviously expressed our differences during our appointments, however, Anita was able to make sure our conversation were productive and that we really understood where the other was coming from. After our appointments with Anita, I can really say our marriage has started to move in the right direction.

Tom Goforth is an amazing person! He was my husband's therapist for over 30 years and he also was our couples' therapist. The trust in and gratitude we have for Tom led my husband, Jeff, and I to ask him if he would be the officiant at our wedding in August of 2000. He graciously obliged. Years later, in 2008, our son, Ethan, was born. We named him Ethan "Thomas" after Tom Goforth. Tom has done so much for Jeff and for us as a couple. We are indebted. Thank you, Tom! We love you!

I had the privilege of meeting Marty at a Residential facility for women. She was my primary therapist during my stay. I had a pretty immediate connection with her. I had made some very big steps in working through my trauma in the short time I worked with her, then in the time I had spent with my previous therapist. After my stay I had the opportunity to continue my work with her. Marty brings a wealth of experience to the table and her approach is honest, direct, caring and very supportive. She provides a safe place that I can come to and share the struggles I am experiencing. As a survivor of sexual abuse it is critical to have someone you can trust. I have found that in Marty and don't regret one minute of my time with her. If you are ready to address the issues/concerns in your life, Marty is someone you should reach out to.
My professionalism, and ability to engage all involved in the celebration to make for memorable occasion.
We have a personal friendly style, our clients come to us because they do not want a corcorporate approach and know we serve everyone in our ministry no exceptions. Though we do not discriminate in any way most religious fundamentalists would not likely be comfortable with our accepting beliefs of lgbt people and interfaith theology.
If you are in a committed relationship and experiencing separation and discord that keeps you from having the love you want, or if you're in love but so often frustrated with the inability to find consistent connection and peacefulness with each other, you are not alone. Hundreds of couples have come through this counseling practice over the past 20+ years with experiences such as these. Creating a loving, enduring, and committed partnership/marriage will be the most exciting, though challenging journey that you face in your life. It is our passion and personal commitment to help couples restore open communication and a renewal of affection in their relationship lives. Whether you come as a couple, a family, or as an individual adult for counseling/therapy, Leo's primary focus is on examining and modifying beliefs from the past which inhibit the ability to love self and "other." Current brain science has proven that the habits and programming from previous experiences can be changed to provide a more positive life experience. As you will see from your review of this website, we use several counseling modalities which are all designed to assist individuals in achieving wholeness and well-being. Please check our website. Image: Idea Group Experiences for Couples While I was doing the Getting The Love You Want workshops for couples over the past twenty years, I was always impressed with the value couples gained from learning couples skills in a group setting. However, I consistently wished for more time to help couples practice and deepen their heart sense of being dialogical with each other. By the word dialogical, I am referring to the ability of partners to practice, and be at ease with communication that honors individual differences while giving up the need to argue and fight about those differences. Instead, partners in a dialogical relationship view their union as a medium for individual growth and mutual fulfillment through their differences. I have created a unique way for couples to practice and experience dialogue in small (five couples) groups. The family-like bond, trust, and safety that occurs in these groups has consistently provided couples with a personalized awareness of how to stay connected while resolving differences and discords. The experience of these groups is different from that which occurs in typical group psychotherapy. When a couple is working in the center of the group, the rest of the group will be "working" with them in an effort to deepen and understand and resolve the issue that the central couple is bringing in for group focus. I have devised a process that is based upon dialogical principles. It is through working together in this format that the group bonds and deepens its understanding of this take-home process of communication.
