Introduction: Hi there and thank you for checking out my profile. On Call Handyman understands the complexity of putting all things together or taking them apart. I started out in the moving industry 30 plus years ago disassembling and assembling household items from fitness equipment, furniture to appliances. After many years of working for a variety of companies, I ventured out on my own 8 years ago. My team and I take pride in providing the highest levels of customer satisfaction. Our rates are pretty straight forward. Keep reading for the services that we provide. Handyman Services: We charge $95 to $150 per hour depending on your project. The cost does not include providing any materials or any disposal of waste. We require a DEPOSIT of $95 to secure your appointment or 30% prepayment if the estimated project is $1000 or more. This prepayment goes toward your invoice and it's refundable if cancellation or rescheduling is within 48 hours. We offer free off site estimate. If you prefer on site inspection for a more in depth estimate, it is $95. This is nonrefundable. WHAT WE DO: Plumbing: Yes, we do light plumbing at the rates stated above. Services include removal and installation of sink faucets, sinks, vanities, toilets and garbage disposals. If your project requires an Illinois licensed plumber, the rate is $120 per hour, minimum of 1 hour. Water heater installation is a flat rate of $400 per unit not including trip charge to pick up the unit or disposal of old unit. If there are variables based on customer's requests, we will charge by the hour at $120 per hour. Furniture assembly: The rates provided here are just to give you an idea of the cost. For the most accurate estimate, give us a call or shoot a text with your location and what you need assembled, and we will send you back an estimate. Each job is unique; just like our customers. So to ensure the highest quality of service that our customers have come to expect, it is best to contact us directly for pricing. Door installations: Door installation or replacement will vary from site to site. It is best to contact us on our mobile. Send some pictures of what you have, your location and what you are looking to achieve, and we'll provide you with an estimate. Once onsite and able to assess the conditions and scope out the parameters, you will be advised of any changes to the estimate.

Very happy with Michael from On Call Handyman for revising the look of our deck. He explained how it wasn't to code and made sure to spend the time and material to bring it up to code. Looks like it was just put up.

After countless months of getting stood up and no shows. I was blessed to find Michael. I am not sure why he does not have a 5 out of 5 rating. Nevertheless, his customer service was amazing and his quality work was next to none. Hands down he is the best handyman professional in the area!!!

On call handyman responded quickly and actually came and did the job the same day. He removed an extremely stripped screw and installed our LG smart AC in under two hours. I would highly recommend him and if I ever need a job at home done, I won't hesitate to hire On Call Handyman again.

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

    I'm straight forward with my pricing and upfront if there would be any unforeseeable costs once onsite. I will always provide you with an estimate. The estimate is just an approximation. Many occasions, I'm spot on. There are a few occasions that might take longer ie. wrong door size, the whole foundation is collapsing and need to be repaired before installing... and there are occasions where my hours are under. Those are great. I love helping my customer save money on their projects.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

    I try to obtain as much clear and concise information and pictures as possible so that I can provide the customer would be best estimate that I possibly can. Then once on site, I will assess the true work conditions and advise my customer if any changes before proceeding with the work.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

    I have no formal training from institutes but hands on training from my father and grandfather and on the job training. Sometimes, those are the best teachers.
