Pros: The fixer team is responsive to requests. The technician was skilled only to do the least complicated task of correcting the alignment of my closet's sliding doors. He did two sets in about 20 mins, but one of the doors wasn't aligned even after he worked on it. He didn't have any creative solutions, only off the book solutions. Cons: I was stuck with getting the job done by him, because apparently Fixer team doesn't do free estimates, the man was skilled only at 1 of my requests. I had to pay him $130 just for coming in to check if he can even take up the work I requested. Very expensive wastage of my $130. And thumbtack's customer service was smart enough to not be available for me to confirm if I had to be stuck with paying him $130 one way or the other. For all this weird and costly experience, never again am I going with Fixer.

We apologize for any confusion revolved around our pricing. We charge a one hour trip fee minimum to come out, which is credited to your final invoice and covers your first hour of service. After that first hour, your visit is prorated to the minute. That means that just because your job takes 65 minutes, you don’t have to pay for the full second hour. We will do our best to estimate your job cost with the information we have, but your final invoice will reflect the time your Fixer spends working. Our pricing is simple. You only pay for the time and materials we use to complete your to do list. Our Fixers come prepared with most common tools + materials needed to complete your job. $129/hr for labor (pro-rated to the nearest minute) Standard Materials* - pay only for what we use We will give you an instant ballpark estimate that our Fixer will confirm with you when he/she arrives before starting work. *For specific materials required to complete project, your Fixer will review what is needed with you and go shopping for the right items, returning immediately to finish the job.
