Leah Lubniewski, LPC

Leah's specialties are transitions, mourning and loss, adoptions, coping skills, peer relations, relationship issues, mindfulness, personality disorders, crisis counseling, sexual abuse, trauma/PTSD, domestic violence survivors, emotional and behavioral issues, anxiety, depression, couples, family, groups, individual, fetal alcohol spectrum disorder, and multiculturalism. Leah is a licensed professional counselor. She received her master's degree at the Chicago School of Professional Psychology in clinical counseling psychology with a generalist specialization. Leah has extensive experience working with children, adolescents, and adults. She has focused on diverse populations in the mental health setting, such as fetal alcohol spectrum disorder, cognitive and/or behavioral disorders, sexual assault survivors, anxiety, loss and mourning, bipolar disorder, personality disorders and depression. It takes great effort, trust and courage to come to therapy to talk about your concerns and problems. When working with clients, Leah provides a safe and open environment to express oneself. Therapy is about working collaboratively towards a common goal. Leah utilizes multiple approaches based on the client's needs.
