Karla was so wonderful to work with! She knew exactly what I needed with only minimal direction. She easily and intuitively knew what I wanted / needed for each space I asked her to organize. She worked quickly and quietly and allowed me to completely concentrate on my work-from-home job. At appropriate times she was a great conversationalist and always actively listened to what I had to say. I ended up hiring her extensively throughout the winter and spring for the large project of organizing my entire house and garage. I am so happy with her work! Her work ended up improving my quality of life immensely! I cannot imagine any other professional who would have been able to deliver the lasting organization that she implemented. Everything is now easy to see and easy to use! If any arrangement needed adjustment she was happy to redo it herself or was greatly supportive if I had already tweaked things. I was very excited to have someone come and clean and organize my son’s home. He’s a single dad and needed some help in that area. We started talking to this lady in late December or early January and she told us the project would take several days and that she would basically do it room by room and that it would take several days to complete. I was fine with that. She told us that she wasn’t available until January 19th. We waited 2.5 weeks and she cancelled the day before and rescheduled for January 22nd. She came in the afternoon and only worked about 3 hours. She said she would come back the next day for a few hours. She told my son that it would be March before she would finish because she had already booked herself up with other clients even though she told me that she knew it would require several days. She did do good cleaning work but never did any of the organizing that I was to pay her $48/hr to do. I can hire a cleaning person for way less than $48/hr. After attempting to blame me for the confusion, I was still willing to let her do the project but asked her to give me dates and times that she would be there so there would be no more scheduling issues. She told me that she wasn’t going to charge me for the 3 hours and that she wouldn’t be back. In my opinion, she is unreliable and doesn’t handle her business very well. Karla did such a great job decluttering and organizing my bedroom closet in early March 2019, that I had her come back the following week to do my home office and office closet. She did an outstanding job once again. I work from home and since Karla transformed my office, my efficiency at work has increased substantially. It’s now so easy to get my job done because everything is organized and she helped me get rid of a lot of junk that I just didn’t need to be holding on to. Karla is very professional and also very personable. She works quickly and efficiently and did an amazing job on my bedroom closet. She showed up on time asked me a few questions about what my goals for organizing were then got to work right away. Helped me make decisions about getting rid of stuff (difficult for me on my own, but Karla made it easy). I’m thrilled with results. - What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I can openly say that I have been in training my whole life! yes, I got it mainly from my mom who is a big fan of organizing, but I have also gotten some online trainings. Right now I'm working on my certification from NAPO (The National Association of Productivity and Organizing Professionals).
- How did you get started doing this type of work?It was my mom's fault! Yes, one of the great attributes my mom has is the passion for order. When I was a child I was obligated to help her, and while I disliked her for it at the time, as I grew older I learned to appreciate all of the hard work I was doing. Order has always been a focal point in my life; from the earliest memories of my childhood to my current daily experiences raising my own daughter. Being organized has become not only a necessity, but also one of my biggest life passions.
- What types of customers have you worked with?From stay-at-home moms to moms that work in a daily basis, from professionals that need to improve the organization in their homes to people moving needing packing/unpacking plus organizing, you name it!
