Introduction: I am passionate about teaching and tutoring students. I love to see students improve and grow in their studies. Being a student for so long, I have had quite a few different types of teachers. I want to be the best teacher I can be for the students who hire me. I love connecting with students and their parents. I don't just want to be a tutor, but also a role model and friend to these students and their parents.

FAQs

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have found the Princeton Review study materials to be the most helpful. They have the most up to date materials and have a brand new study book that comes out every year. I stay up to date by purchasing all of their new materials and going over it myself to verify that I understand everything so that I can tutor the material to my students.

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

After receiving my Master's degree in Biology, I decided that teaching Biology would be a great career. I decided to start tutoring ACT and Biology since I love the ACT test and I am looking to gain even more teaching experience as I pursue a career in the Biology Education field.

  • What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

I love to see students succeed on the ACT. Many students or parents ask me if it's possible to significantly improve their ACT score and I tell them that it is. I have heard stories where the student improved his score by 10 points! While this is rare, most students can improve their score by 3 to 5 points just by learning a few simple strategies for the ACT.
