My experience with DLT Roofing and Services was concerning primarily due to poor communication through the Thumbtack app. The company stated they could complete the work and provided a price, but immediately requested a 50 percent upfront payment. When I asked for a Statement of Work outlining the scope, materials, timeline, and terms, they would not provide one. I then offered to provide a Statement of Work myself for both parties to sign, but they refused to sign it. Being asked repeatedly for a 50 percent upfront payment without any written agreement or defined scope of work raised serious concerns for me. Without documentation or willingness to formalize the work, there was no reason for me to feel comfortable proceeding. Because of this, I chose not to do business with them. My recommendation to others is to always require a written Statement of Work before making any upfront payment. This experience served as a warning sign for me.
