FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
As far as a standard price system is concerned that is a hard system to go by. I generally walk into jobs and base them off my expertise of time management. I look at a certain project/blue print and depict the amount of time and labor intensity that will be involved. It also varies greatly depending on what type of products the customer will want as well. Every home, job, and work site varies vastly and is tailored to the customers unique and individual needs. I like to keep it simple for my customers by giving them a budget friendly price and product range as well as a higher end price range with higher end products.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First, I would inform my prospective client of all the services offered and what Nick's Painting and Decorating Inc. is all about. From there I would do a walk through of the home and inspect what work needs to be done per requested from the client/homeowner and offer my professional advice. We would then go over pricing options and I would give the client/homeowner a rough estimate on how long it would take to complete the job and all costs involved. After our initial meeting I will have e-mailed the estimate to the client within 24 hours going over pricing, products, timing, and agreements. A contract will also be attached in PDF form for the client to review and get a general understanding of our binding terms.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have completed the 3 Year Apprenticeship Program through JACT-DFTC 14 in Berkeley, Illinois to become a Journeyman Painter for the Union DC 14 (Chicago) Local 265. I started out my professional painting career working for Tiffiny Decorating Co.
