Responsive and professional, and got the job done. First time to use junk removal service - had a sticker shock. Costed over $300 for less than one hour's work for two to remove some furniture pieces, but guess this is the business model of junk removal.

We had 3 people and two trucks to move from our 2 bedroom apartment on the second floor (stairs) to a house ground floor entrance. The entire move (including drive time of about 50 minutes) took about 7 hours. The planning and lead up to the move was great, very easy to work with and responsive. The quality of work was good, other than a couple dings on Wooden furniture and a scratch on our leather chair I don’t believe anything was broken. They were an hour behind schedule, I think they had someone call in so had to find a 3rd person who seemed to be new to moving to fill the team but it worked for us as we were still packing things up. The one real concern I had was the time that it took. There seemed to be times where the urgency wasn't really there. Some of the guys wanted to talk during the move. I’m all for building rapport but not when I’m paying for it. I also was involved in the labor as well; filling our car with fragile items on the load, packing up loose items and continuously helping on the unload. I can’t imagine how long it would have taken if I hadn’t helped. The benefit of the doubt I’ll give them on the time is that we had several loose items at the end that weren’t boxed up. We also stopped at our storage unit for some additional items to load into one of the two trucks. Since they had someone call in I don’t think they had their normal movers. Overall I’d say it was an average experience, giving them a good taking the considerations I mentioned. They were nice guys and did good work, I just didn’t think it would take 7 hours (really 6 plus 1 hr drive time) with 3 professionals plus myself to move a two bedroom apartment. I’d recommend them with the assumption they are staffing their A-team.

Hi Nicholas We truly apologize for the moving experience you’ve had with the service. We do understand your frustration and concerns. You were quoted for a 3men crew for a 2 bedroom unit, and we believed the timing to complete service was within standards. We understand this move took 6.5 hours to complete, yet a combination of mandatory steps were performed and needed to complete this move and may very well be the reason for the amount of hours mentioned. Movers performed all the necessary steps with your permission, to secure your furniture items with shrink wrapping with protected blanket padding before loading the truck. Because of the awkwardness of the front staircase, movers were subjected to take all your bigger furniture items and good amount of boxes from the back 2nd floor staircase, then carried down the items quite a distance to the front building area, and because of the limited parking, to load onto the trucks. You also had a travel time of 55 minutes to unload location. You’ve made mention of a few dings, in which you shared some pictures of a scratch on the glass/book case. After the unload, we did a brief walk through, and this could’ve been very well missed while checking the furniture. Overall there were no major damages done to your items!!! We do apologize again that this did not meet your standards, for the movers done everything to the best of there abilities, by following company guidelines and policies.
