Dan and his team were amazing to work with. They built us a new garage with a deck on top. From initial ideas through designs, city approval and build, Dan was collaborative and communicative the whole time. He always worked our ideas into the plan and was upfront and honest about costs and timelines.
There was a lot about city requirements for this project that we didn't know or understand going into the project. Dan handled it all and took the time to explain the changes as we went along. And any change to scope was discussed and approved before the work was done.
He managed the schedule better than anyone I have ever seen - the only downtime we had was due to factors outside his control (weather and city inspector schedules), and even that was mitigated by switching to inside work and/or anticipating city timelines and coordinating with the crew.
And the crew was polite, SUPER hard working and kept the area as clean as possible. We have small children, and they did everything they could to make sure the area was as safe as it could be. And they often worked late to make sure the next day's crew was set up with what they needed. I would highly recommend working with Alumni. They are great.

I highly recommend Alumni Builders for your next project! My wife and I contracted them to completely rebuild our basement. A complete redesign, bathroom addition, wet bar addition, water service upgrade, and built-in shelves were all elements involved. We are very satisfied with the experience and final product. Dan and the team did a fantastic job spending time and effort communicating before, during and after the project. They were constantly receptive to our input and if anything wasn't to our liking, it was corrected. We made several changes to the plan and they handled each change with ease while finishing ON TIME.

Our pricing is not just an estimate but the actual number for which we will do the job. The only estimated items are items that are hidden from sight until actually starting the work.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We always start with an in-home free consultation during which we assess the project, listen to the customer's plans, advise on design ideas . We present them with an itemized written quote allowing for options where the customer still needs to make decisions, and upon agreement we draft the contract with the final decided details included .
