FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Pricing for legal matters is always complicated. In some areas you can offer a flat fee and in others you need to take a retainer and pay by the hour. Most of the time a brief free consultation is all that is needed to assess the needs of the client and what type of arrangement is appropriate.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I generally meet with or chat over the phone to briefly get an overview of the legal need. At that point, I can give general feedback as to whether it makes sense for us to work together and the approximate costs.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
All attorneys are required to complete continuing education on a two year calendar cycle. I am a member of the Chicago Bar Association which offers many seminars to help me fulfill these credit hours as well as stay connected with the legal community in my areas of practice.
