We were looking for a wedding invitation icon, and our experience with Jason at Silent Icon Studio went above our hopes. He's talented, knew exactly what we wanted in an illustration, prompt, and flexible. Amazing work!Feb 8, 2017Verified
Hiring and working with someone online can be stressful. Fortunately, I found Jason. Not only does he do great work, he communicates clearly every step of the way. Emails are answered in short order, which is a HUGE pet peeve of mine. His rates are very reasonable and he worked with me to refine my illustration until it was dialed in to my satisfaction. Every project has a different aesthetic, but if it looks like Jason's style fits your needs, I can't stress how highly I recommend his work.Dec 23, 2016Verified
Jason Slater designed the artwork for our lower level kids ministry hallways at Progressive Baptist Church. Each Bible story scene (12 scenes, all over 10ft x14ft!) was hand drawn and illustrated with care, from conception to final installation (on vinyl). Jason was diligent, able to convert our ideas onto paper, and quite pleasant to work with. We we highly recommend his studio to anyone needing custom and professional illustration.Nov 14, 2016Verified
Fantastic experience with Jason at Silent Icon Studio. Truly. On time, attention to detail and he really took time to make sure what was in my head, made it to the design and end product. Can't wait to work with him again.Dec 1, 2016Verified

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?Standard pricing is very difficult in this field, as each project is custom and specific for the client.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?I like to figure out what the customer actually wants to do. I then move to skethces, laying out the entire project, and send samples of the characters that need to be developed. Once layout and feel are approved, I move to a full drawing, followed by color layouts. Once those are approved its all about finishing the painting and making sure the customer is happy with their final project.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I have a BFA in illustration. I have a deep and layered knowledge of design, and an in-depth knowledge of computers. I am constantly drawing, be it cartoons or working with real life models, to fine tune my artistic craft.
