FAQs
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Before hiring a financial services provider be sure to check their background using a service such as the one provided by The National Ethics Association where they regularly do a 7 year background check for criminal activity, bankruptcy and licensing violations. Also be sure to meet with more than one advisor so you will have someone to compare to. Don't judge an Advisor on how they get paid. Many people make the mistake of thinking that just because someone charges a fee instead of collecting a finders fee or commission they are somehow more ethical. The truth is how one chooses to get paid has very little to do with their ethics or industry knowledge so make sure you check out their background and spend some time with them and chose the advisor that you feel good about and is taking into account your particular situation not just someone who is promoting products.
