- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I tend to stick to the price I give on an estimate. Of course during the project there may be some changes or unexpected work, in these cases I insist on discussing details and getting a clear okay before I go ahead and do any extra work. My prices are based off of what work is involved to get your project completed, I do not charge by the day or by the room. I understand that every job is different, and I get all kinds of request, so I strictly charge by the job. I also do not give out prices without being able to take a look at the project and get details on what you're looking for. This helps me stay as close to the estimate price as possible, and yes I do provide free estimates.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
It all starts with giving us a call. I will ask what type of work you're looking for, how soon you would like me to come out to look at it, and how soon you would like the work to be done. Once an estimate is scheduled, I will come take a look and meet with you and we will discuss what exactly you're looking for so that I can give you an accurate estimate. 24 hours after meeting, I will send you an official estimate including details and pricing. If requested, I will include reference contacts with your estimate. If you decide to choose Katies painting for your painting needs we then will schedule a day to start work. I always commit fully to each job until it's completed.
