I teach how to perform hatha yoga asanas/poses, what is the proper alignment in different yoga poses; how to connect a breath with a movement and how to sequence yoga poses for maximum benefits. I started practicing Yoga at the Himalayan Meditation Center about four years ago and loved Elizabeth's enthusiasm, knowledge, and love of yoga. Her accessible style suits beginners and advanced practitioners alike. She takes her time to ensure students are doing the poses properly, and encourages them to challenge themselves in each class. Elizabeth's positive and calming energy makes me feel invigorated and relaxed after leaving class. Under her attentive guidance, I greatly improved my balance, flexibility, breathing and health.

First class is free.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I completed 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training Program and was awarded Hatha Yoga Teacher Certificate( March 21, 2010). My training lasted 12 months. In addition to my training I took workshops to fine tune my teaching skills. Besides formal yoga training, I am a long time yoga practitioner (over 20 years).
How did you get started doing this type of work?
After many years of practice I realized that I want to share my experience with others. I started by enrolling in a formal yoga training with HImalayan Yoga and Meditation Center, where I completed 12 months program. Then, I started to teach at Himalayan Yoga And Meditation Center. After 3 years of teaching at Himalayan I decided to open my own studio where I teach, how yoga was traditionally taught, in one-on-one setting.
