Hired on Thumbtack

This guy has two profiles and charging $400 from one profile, and $450 from another to clean gutters on a house. He’s a jerk who doesn’t know the difference between a customer messaging him, and receiving a proposal through this platform. Every gutter cleaner on thumbtack charges around $150 for this job. It’s possible that his inflated prices are to make up for the fact that he isn’t hired much, 1 for his attitude, 2 for his lack of common sense and integrity. Will be reporting him so they can remove people like this. Anyone good at their craft don’t need to inflate prices, because they have the clientele to make up for it. What he was too oblivious and pompous to understand was, when this platform suggests additional contractors, you hit a button to send your project, he thought I actually messaged him. Then begins to scold me saying, well that’s why I have my price on my profile before people message me. His roofing profile mind you. $400 for roofing jobs, I’m sure that’s reasonable, for what I don’t know because any idiot can understand that you can’t charge $400 for everything you do, that’s the purpose of a proposal, because every job is different. Be ware of this guy because he probably created this company because his score isn’t a 5 on the other one. I could have pointed out how he didn’t have sense enough to read the proposal he was automatically forwarded which was very clear about my expectations, how he didn’t read. However, I let it go because he won’t be successful with these shady business practices.
