What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
After providing an estimate, Im always open to discuss the final cost with the customer. Its important that the price is comfortable for both sides. I offer discounts for the ones who struggle financially.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I make sure both me and the customer understand the scope of work thats going to be performed. Usually, I request pictures of what needs to be repaired/assembled/installed or removed. This way I know what to expect beforehand and have time to purchase the tools and consumables if needed. Me and the customer agree on the price and share contact info afterwards. After arranging time and day, I like to confirm my arrival the day before.
