What I like about working with Northwest Indiana Tutoring is the hands down professionalism always accommodating if there’s a once in a while schedule change, business as usual I’m granted a make up when possible. The work quality speaks for itself when I see the big improvement in my son’s grades and confidence. As for responsiveness I love the communication level of always getting a timely response to questions or concerns. Punctuality is key to organization and order! I can’t remember a time that Northwest Indiana Tutoring arrived late! Always on time always! Anything worth having you should value and a good education is priceless, and Northwest Indiana Tutoring understands that, this is why I have entrusted it to helping my son to be a success.

When I first started getting tutored by Mike, I was about to start my sophomore year at Munster High School. At this point, my high school GPA was around the mid to low 2.0 area. Not great. I was spending hours studying only to get "C's" and "D's" on my math and English tests. After two semesters of working with Mike two times a week, I received a nearly straight "A" report card for the first time ever (I had one "A-" so it technically wasn't straight "A's"). After starting with Mike, he quickly discovered that I wasn't just stupid, I just never had solid foundations in Math or English. A few months work with Mike did me wonders. Mike has a unique way of teaching that makes learning highly engaging and interesting. This found to be especially useful when I preparing to take my ACT test during my Junior year. After reviewing a countless number of practice tests with Mike I managed to pull off a 32 out of 36 on my actual exam. Together, we were able to raise my score a total of 12 points. To this day, I am still amazed that we were able to pull this off! I spent my sophomore to senior year of high school being tutored by Mike (2014-2017). Currently, I am about to start my Junior year at Indiana University's Kelley School of Business. I am excelling in my studies, and just finished up an internship with a Fortune 500 real estate firm. If you are on the fence about getting tutored by Mike, just do it! I wouldn't be where I am today if it wasn't for Mike.

Best tutor ever. He is always on time, very kind and smart. Has a very good understanding of math. Is talented in explaining difficult concepts to his students. I have learned very much from him; I couldn't wish for a better tutor.

I can work with you to find an accommodating price, one that you’ll like. Don’t let money get in the way of success. I’ll help.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When we first meet, I’ll evaluate my student, as I’m sure they’ll evaluate me. It’s vital , especially with children, to establish a good rapport. I can typically pinpoint a student’s strengths and weaknesses immediately.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I’ve been tutoring now for about 15 years. Student success is my greatest joy. Before that I enjoyed a long career as an educator, a business manager, and a manager of information systems.
