FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
It's difficult to put a standard price on yards because no two are alike. I generally go by what the yard looks like. What kind of shape it's in, how tall it is and so forth. All of this is important to get the right starting price and to maintain it on a regular basis. It could range between $15 to a few hundred.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
In a word.. Respectfully! I greet them, listen to what they're looking for, tell them what I do and a little how I do it. All in a pleasant manner. I also make sure they know I am grateful for their business. After all there wouldn't be any business without them. Most importantly I'm honest with them. I tell them if I can do the job or not, how long it may take and then after everything is figured out I try to give them a fair price.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've taken some courses in horticulture several years ago in Florida, which is where I'm from. I also have almost 40 years of experience. Started when I was 7 with a push mower, electric weed eater, a broom and a flat shovel used to edge. I've worked at resorts, a museum, trailer parks, other lawn services, and a hotel. I'm always looking for new experiences.
