I hired John/Happy Families to redo a porcelain tile job in my kitchen that another individual had done poorly and had left uncompleted. I was heart sick after purchasing very expensive tile and then seeing that the floor had not been properly prepared (low spots had not been dealt with). Many of the tiles were not level and the cement board was not secured sufficiently to the sub floor before the new tile had been installed. John literally came to my rescue. He removed no less than 2 dozen 20x12 inch tiles and broke maybe only 3 in the process ! I was very impressed. I had expected to replace most of them. John is very observant and noticed other things that needed to done along the way. He is very conscientious and takes pride in the quality of his work. John was very focused on what I wanted as a homeowner and made sure that I was happy. He checked with me from time to time to make sure we were both on the same page. He is very much a people person and has a great sense of humor. John even offered to put down the remaining tile the other installer had not done! John gave me a great price too and coordinated his schedule with mine :) I now have a level floor that is rock solid and very pretty. I am so happy !!! I will not hesitate to call John/Happy Families in the future for anymore of my home remodeling projects. He is top notch! Thank you John! C. Brown

My bathtub is very old and the finish is worn off. It needed to be repainted. John of Happy Families gave me a very fair price, brought the materials he needed for this project, arrived on time, completed the project, and left the area clean. He also gave me advice about a few other areas in my home that need attention. I will definitely use Happy Families again!

I do most of my bids based on the sq ft of the job. I do have standards I use.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to start either with a phone call or an in home meeting. This way I can get a feel for the job and make sure I am bidding it the best I can for the customer and for myself.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a bachelors degree in construction management.
