I had several tasks around my house that needed to be done and Mike responded quickly and came out and completed the jobs in a timely manor and at a good price. He was professional but easy to talk to to explain what I wanted done. I’ll definitely use him again.

  • Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

Basement finishing project that required breaking the floor up to allow for plumbing to be installed for a new bathroom that was alotted for. Ran conduit and wiring for new circuitry to be installed. Waterproofing was done on the block walls and 1” t&g foam panels were affixed to the walls. Vapor barrier/thermal break was installed then roughed in. Insulation was installed upon the completion of the rope wire being stapled securely followed by drywall once plates were installed where needed to provide plumbing and electrical protection against screws or nails. Bedroom had a nice walk in closet that went under and around the stairs leading into the basement. The otherwise what would’ve been a void underneath the stairs now holds custom made raised panel cabinet style slide outs that are ideal for additional storage. Crown molding was installed and I secured lighting where they weren’t visible during non operational periods. I used smart lighting. It was led tape lights with Alexa integration actually named Alexa lights. It is remote controlled or by downloading the app opens up multiple different options and capabilities. The flooring was installed over 100 % waterproof underpayment and was also anti mold and fungal material that was an egg crate design allowing air flow preventing mold growth and musty orders due to moisture being trapped in. Rubber padding is affixed allowing some cushion underneath the 100 % waterproof click lock vinyl floating flooring. Pocket doors were installed as well as additional future storage for closet space or pantry space. I installed recessed lighting in the stair risers and a stair climber chair lift by acorn. The walls that now enclose the sides of the stairs that were always open are now finished with decorative trim that gives it an elegant appearance. Total completion time with one man doing the job from start to finish was about 6 months and working full time 12 hour swing shifts
