FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I typically provide quotes for each project. This quote will include materials and a fixed labor rate. I do not mark up prices on materials like some contractors do. Labor rates vary from job to job depending on complexity. Another option for someone that just needs a handyman for a few hours is paying hourly.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to set up a time that is convenient for the customer to come out, introduce myself and take a look at the project at hand. Once I arrive at the customers house, I will take pictures and measurements and discuss specifics with the customer. From there I will take all that information and form a detailed quote including labor and materials.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
From an early age I was always dad's little helper. Helping out with out seemingly never ending home renovations. From there I started working at Lowe's when I was fresh out of high school and attending college. I worked on and off at Lowe's for 6 years where I gained a wealth of information of products and their applications. I continued to work various jobs and attend college, while doing the occasional handyman/remodeling job here or there. Eventually business picked up and that led to the formation of CS Home Services! Now I get up everyday and go to work doing a job I love!
