I met Alyssa last year when she started working with my then German Shepherd pup Isabelle (Izzy). She is now 14 months old. Izzy is a very highly driven working German Shepherd and probably should have been with a highly skilled trainer like Alyssa instead of a 65 year old like me. Alyssa has helped me tremendously with my own self confidence with Izzy. I can now take her to the vet without her jumping all over everyone she loves. We have been in 2 UpDog Disc competitions and am looking forward to many more. Alyssa has taken Izzy out many times for training in all different locations, is training her to do freestyle tricks and simply training her to be a much calmer girl. I highly recommend Alyssa to anyone looking for help with their pawpals.

Very impressed with Alyssa. She has worked with my dog, a tiny toy poodle, and has done great work with him. Her Day Camp program is so convenient. She is very trustworthy, kind, and gentle with him. Highly recommend Wanderlust K9 if you are looking for any training or help with a pet!

We Speak Dog’s Chris and Alyssa are the dynamic duo of dog training. We Speak Dog loves, owns and trains 10 of their own dogs for sport and stunt dog entertainment. That was impressive to me because if you can train dogs at that high level, I figured dog socialization and obedience would be a piece of cake for them! Right from the start, their approach to my first consultation was different than the other trainers. They asked about not only my dog, but my family and our motivation for adopting a dog. We adopted our 14-week old pup Sky in the middle of the pandemic and with little access to humans, she was under socialized. We Speak Dog recommended the 10-day Board and Train which was the perfect solution. It was hard to be away from our new puppy for 10 days, but she came back more social, more affectionate, more confident and less fearful. She even learned some basic obedience commands and reinforced house breaking and crate training. Most importantly, I know that We Speak Dog treated my dog like one of their own and used only positive reinforcement training methods. They became truly attached to Sky and continue to do follow up visits. I will continue to use We Speak Dog for training and boarding and would not hesitate to refer anyone to their services.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We offer a number of Board and Train, Private Lesson, and Virtual Lesson Packages. We are a small company, so we are able to personalize each customer's experience, and offer flexibility to meet every need. During the COVID crisis we are offering discounts for Healthcare workers.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Things are a little different now due to the Corona virus. We schedule every customer with a phone consultation. During that 30 minute phone call we discuss the issues you want to address with training, and generally make a recommendation for you right then. After that we send you an email recapping our conversation with a link to sign up for the program you indicated interest in, so you can schedule your dog's start date with us.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
We have been involved in countless continuing education avenues for the past 6 years. I have attended conferences, seminars, and have taken numerous classes to ensure I am providing my clients with the most relevant, up-to-date, scientific information available in animal behavior.
