We recently remodeled a hall bath. The "plumber" who hooked up the shower, sink, and toilet did about zero correctly and we had a real mess on our hands. :( Adam came promptly and fixed the leaking and wrongly-plumbed vanity pipes, but the toilet fittings were terribly bungled and ruined, so he couldn't fix it on the same trip. Adam took matters into his own hands by calling the toilet manufacturer, ordering the parts, and having them shipped to my address. He then came out a second time to properly install the toilet, without any trip charges! I have his card, and will definitely call Grateful Plumber the next time I have a plumbing need.
After I overestimated my handywoman skills, Jeff came to the rescue. He replaced the PVC pipe I broke and put in new valves and pipes to replace the old, crusty ones that were leaking. My real concern, however, was that the drain pipe wasn't draining in the kitchen sink. He did everything he could to diagnose the problem, including renting and bringing in a machine to break up the obstruction. Unfortunately, the blockage was ice, and the only way to fix that is to wait. To expedite the process, Jeff suggested that my husband and I put a space heater near the pipe, just to keep it a little warmer than it would've been otherwise. About 48 hours later, Jeff's suggestion worked, and now our drain is doing what it's supposed to do. Jeff's prices are fair, so we didn't feel like we were overpaying or underpaying. He was friendly, tidy, and communicative throughout the project. We would trust him to handle any future plumbing projects, and perhaps we'll have him back to do some painting and other handyman-type stuff too. He takes pride in his work so you can take pride in your home.
Willie has now completed two jobs for us. He was responsive and reliable through the whole process. One of the jobs was fixing a leak in a shower that had been badly installed by someone else and involved removing and repairing a damaged ceiling. The other was repairing basically all the plumbing in a small house after the electricity was turned off and all the pipes froze. He was great to work with through the whole thing, and really put a lot of time and effort into figuring out everything that was wrong and fixing things in the way that made the most sense. His prices were very fair, and he clearly cared a lot about making sure the work was done well. He went above and beyond and even repaired other things he noticed were wrong. I would definitely hire him again and am happy to finally have a go-to plumber. Highly recommend. Thanks, Willie!
Tony came out to fix my ongoing electrical problem with my furnace that has continued for over a year now. He responded to my add immediatley, his price was the best of all who replied to my add, and he did a masterful job of completing the repair! I have nothing but excellent comments on his work, professionalism, cost, attitude, knowledge, and trustworthyness. He is well worth the call, and I plan to continue working with him in all my future problems. Look no further if you are searching for an electrician!
I put out an ad for someone to run a water line for my fridge. Mike responded very quickly and also made me aware he did other jobs as well. He was able to come over that evening, and take a look at my job. He made me aware I did not have the right part I needed and so we rescheduled for the following Monday. He came out and found a few issues with the install due to the age of the house and placement of the water pipes. He was an awesome problem solver and I felt alot of confidence with asking him questions. As a woman, it is important to me to have someone I can call on to handle the jobs I can't or don't want to do, and have it be done professionally and economically. Mike is wonderful and I will be calling on him regularly in the future!
We had an emergency pipe burst. Mo got on the phone and patiently walked me though the process of locating and turning off the main valve. He even tried to save us some money by walking me through some quick fixes. Unfortunately, it was not a quick fix and he needed to come and do some replacing and soldering. Mo was very patient with my questions and he loved to talk about why and what he was doing. I'd learned quite a bit and everything was fixed and in working order when he left. He does not take short cuts. I would not hesitate to call them again.
Zach was awesome! He came to the rescue to fix my broken shower handle which a guest ripped off the fixture :/ He was so meticulous and helped me think through several options, including ways to reuse what I had in order to save money. While he was there I decided to also hire him to replace my sink faucet fixtures. He installed it and also found a known problem I had under the sink with some bad pipes and pvc. He took care of that too. All very fair and with great care. Thanks Zach, can't wait to utilize you again in the future.
On time, professional, got the job done. Ended up paying an extra 30 for needed pipe, and he had to get in the crawl space to do it, so very worth it to us!
Antonio was awesome! He was a hard worker and very knowledgable, especially since our house is 100 years old and that means old pipes. Would highly recommend!!! A++++
Joel went under my house in extreme cold, found the problem, repaired it, and explained every step he was taking to fix the problem. He even shoveled a path around my home so that I could see what he was talking about. With the elements working against him, he had to make 3 trips. It took a couple of days, but I am able to say, I now have water. My only hope was a warm up, in Indiana - not happening. Joel came through and he didn't even raise the price for the extra trips. I had wished he would have stayed and kept heat on the pipes, but now that the great sound of running water has come, I am very pleased with the service and would recommend.
My sewage pump kept running every 30 seconds and the pumped water kept running back into the pump. Mike and his helper showed up around noon to see what the problem was. They did some checking and decided I probably just needed a check valve. Mike cut the pipe to make sure the pump was ok and not dislodged and said he'd fix the pipe so it was flush with the pump and the ceiling. They didn't have the check valve with them so he said they would go and get it and then be back to finish the work. He also mentioned something about getting food from nearby to take to an event/practice for his kid. They left around 12:30pm. At 2:45pm, Mike sends me a text telling me to go about my day, that he got held up but he didn't forget about me. I say ok even though I cannot use my kitchen sink, the dishwasher, the washing machine or the tub. At 4:00pm, I sent Mike a text and ask when they will be back and remind him that I cannot run water from almost everything in my house until he comes and fixes my sewage pump. He responds that they will be back to my house in 30 minutes. An hour later, Mike and his helper return to fix the sewage pump. They were done in around 45 minutes and the pump works perfectly. I'm 100% satisfied with the work but not so much with having to waste an entire day and being unable to run any water while waiting for them to come back. I would use them again though because they were polite, helpful, knowledgeable and they didn't try to do any work that wasn't necessary (every other quote I got was for work that wasn't required). I will just make sure to stay on them if they leave for any reason. $165 later and I have a functioning sewage pump and can run all the water I want.
Grady showed up on time, was very professional and had great suggestions, and has done a very good job so far. I'm already recommending him to others.
Very hard work to unfreeze the frozen pipe.
Jason did a complete kitchen remodel (floor, walls ceiling, lighting, plumbing and cabinets) for me. He was professional and in one week my kitchen was finished. During the process, there was a snow storm and zero weather causing my pipes to freeze which I thought would stop the work, but it didn't stop them from working. GREAT work ethic.
Within minutes of my request nick replied and showed up at my house shortly after for a FREE estimate. I was at work but my boyfriend greeted him and his wife. He went into our crawlspace and inspected everything (unlike the emergency plumber we had out the day before that costed us $70 just for the house call) and gave us a SIGNIFICANTLY better estimate than the previous plumber (who quoted us at $600 for a temporary patch or $3000 to replace only one pipe.) Nick REPLACED both pipes for $1200 only a day and a half after my request. He was efficient and very polite. We are very happy and would definitely use him again for any future plumbing needs!!!!
1. Repainted exterior of three story, 3 color Victorian house, did all associated carpentry and scraping, re-floored (including hand sand and stain) exterior porch, repaired and replaced gutters, re-painted interior of house. 2. Fixed burst pipes, replaced all powdered mortar in basement, insulated basement. 3. Built and installed permanent attic stairs. 4. Landscaping including entire yard till and re-seed, multiple plantings, and fence repair. Absolutely perfect! I have renovated three antique homes before this one and have never had a contractor like Eleazar and the Emarias Group before. They were very reasonably priced, stayed on budget, always arrived when expected, did the best quality work I have ever had, always cleaned up at the end of the day, and even brought me lunch on occasion! I found I could trust Eleazar and his group completely, so much so that they often worked inside the house when I was out of state. I initially made contact with Eleazar when another home in my area was being renovated. I was able to observe daily the differences between the Emarias crew and the rest of the contractors on site. I know that this home owner eventually booted everyone else and now uses Emarias exclusively. At my recommendation, four of my neighbors had their homes painted by Emarias. One neighbor also had a bathroom remodel done. All are Eleazar and Emarias Group devotees now!
The whole process was very easy. I wasn't even in town for the repair and they took care of it quickly to aid me in getting a house sold.
