I need to change my original rating of 5 stars to 2. I really thought Perry was going to be the one to finally help me complete my basement remodel, but it didn't turn out that way. In the beginning I was so desperate to find help that I offered him $200 a day plus hourly rate if it went over. He did a good job whenever I could get him here, but that was usually one day a week. He would always say he could be here around 9ish or 10ish... which usually meant 30 to 45 minutes later.
Like I said Perry did a good job on some things, like caulking my basement steps. It took him almost 4 hours, but it looks good. I wanted the basement ceiling painted using my sprayer and that took forever and still not done. He said he knew how to use a sprayer, but I had to go back over everything he painted and redo it because he wouldn't do it the way I told him. My sprayer is not an industrial sprayer, but it did the job if done correctly. Also, the last thing he did was move my utility sink and add water lines in a better location. It is still sitting there unusable because Perry took it apart and never returned to put it back. We went to hardware store to buy parts he said we needed, but turns out they didn't work. He kept telling me he wanted to help complete the project, but I've not seen or heard from him since. He refuses to answer any of my text which now I think is best because I have looked over a lot of his work and had to redo it.
From the beginning I told Perry that I didn't want him to do it for me, but to help me do it. I worked alongside of him every time and worked as hard as he did. I'm probably not an easy person to work for and don't care. It is my house, my money and I want things done my way.... unless you can show me my way is not the best then I'm open to suggestions. I am fair and will pay what I owe, but I expect the work to be done in a timely manner and done correctly. On two occasions I bought lunch for both of us and paid him at the end of everyday. I am really disappointed. I thought he was more professional than that. I am stuck with a unusable basement and a sink not hooked up to anything. To sum it all up Perry will do the work and probably do a good job, but don't trust him to show up on time or finish the job.

Perry was fantastic! He showed up right on time, gave a great estimate and showed up ready to work. He did the job with the utmost speed and outstanding quality. 5 stars for the job he did. Would definitely rehire for any more Handyman needs.

I had a light replaced in my stairs and also a light added in a walk in closet. Perry was very attentive to detail, polite and respectful. The job took longer than he had anticipated but he stayed with the quote he had provided which I respected. I will definitely use him again for other projects.
