Scott was AMAZING!! I can't believe how much we learned in one hour with him. He has such a great personality and definitely knows his stuff. I would definitely recommend him for any dog training/behavioral problems. I can't wait to now use all the training we learned. Thanks Scott...you're the best!!
Sherry has a wealth of knowledge and experience when it came to training my dog as well as teaching me to help train my dog. She is very gentle with her doggy clients yet firm. The classes are honestly fun, informative and practical can't get any better than that.
Jaime does a great job of training your dog. She really understands the best way to get through to your pet, and does a fantastic job of explaining how to continue training after your session with her is over. I would definitely hire her again, she did a wonderful job with my two year old lab Kane. He came home a different dog after his two week training session.
Chris was great to work for training my puppy Lily. I really liked that he listened to what I wanted to work on, and made sure to personalize our lessons based on what I wanted. He was very attentive, and also made sure to check in between training sessions, which was very much appreciated. I would absolutely recommend Takacs Dog Training to anyone looking for a great in home trainer!
Very reliable and professional. She came for a meet and greet before walking our dog and always sends pictures and texts to let me know how it went.
Leslie put me at ease the moment she walked through my front door! She is so easy to talk to about any issues concerning my dog and takes the time and care to personalize training to that dogs needs. Her training method allows for the puppy parent to both see Leslie herself do it and then for me to do it myself, since us humans needs training too! It's very crucial that the puppy parents takes and use her guidance as it will pay off immensely! My puppy, Rhett, was constantly love biting for attention and bothering us during non play time, like dinner. Thanks to her training (me and Rhett that is, lol), he is not nipping and knows when we go to eat, it's not play time. He's also much improved with greetings, has better focus, and is well in his way to be an excellent Canine Citizen! We love, Leslie! 2 paws up! !
Dee is amazing she is best dog trainer! My dog love her!
Jim has been reliable, professional and trustworthy. Wouldn't go anywhere else with my dog training needs.
My Maltipoo was badly in need of grooming, as his regular groomer was no longer in the area. I contacted Crystal last minute and she agreed to take care of him the same day, a Sunday!! She took phenomenal care of my little dog. He was badly matted but she was able to detangle him so he did not require shaving. She spent hours and hours working on his coat without charging me extra (I gave a large tip, as this was above and beyond service)! After an all over trim, shampoo, nail clipping, and teeth cleaning, the end result was superb! I recommend her highly and without reservation! You won't be disappointed. She really is a fairy dogmother :-)
Chris and Diane are excellent dog trainers. They are truly committed to helping an owner reach their dog training goals. I highly recommend using them for dog training services!
Entrusting Mr. Barkypants, my first-born son, to a dog walker is akin to how I imagine it might feel to someday entrust a less furry child of mine to a nanny: He/She sure as hell better be committed, conscientious, able to survive blizzards*, and love Mr. Barkypants as his/her own. Using this (perhaps slightly unreasonable) standard, I interviewed many, many dog walkers before I found Walks With Zara Chicago Dog Wlalkers, a dog walking company that Russell and his business partner own and operate. Though I haven't yet had to put them to the blizzard test*, it is clear that Russell is an excellent dog walker and human being. I feel strongly about not having just any random person walk Mr. Barkypants: I've witnessed how some walkers who work at larger operations treat (or rather mistreat) the 5-10 dogs they walk at once. Sadly, it doesn't seem uncommon for some dog walkers, on the north-side at least, to roughly yank leashes or yell and scream at dogs, or to refuse to stop walking to allow one of their charges to use the little dog's room, or to tie dogs up to a post in the park while the walker enjoys a cigarette and long chat with his friends. I am confident that Russell does NOT do this; Mr. Barkypants would probably behave very differently with him than he does. Interestingly, though Mr. Barkypants isn't terribly fond of strangers and he is particularly non-fond of strangers who are male and who wear hats, he took to the hat-wearing Russell like he took to liver treats from the first or second walk on. Russell has a gentle, quiet, calm, non-domineering manner with dogs (and humans, really). He isn't embarrassed about speaking to dogs in goofy voices -- a talent I quite appreciate. Moreover, wrt his human dealings, too, Russell is prompt and as honest as Abe: He lets us know when he isn't able to walk a full hour (because of severe weather or sickness) and deducts from his pay despite our asking him to take the full amount. Rates, by the way, are extremely reasonable for Chicago dog walking, especially since Mr. Barkypants gets Russell all to himself on walks. According to their website, Russell is bonded and insured as a dog walker and is a member of the Association of pet sitters. I can speak with knowledge about Russell's excellent credentials as a dog walker. He *will* treat your dogs with respect and patience -- or at least I'm pretty sure they will based on how they've treated my first born son. I can't recommend him enough.
I love all kinds of dogs. I enjoy walking dogs, playing with them and feeding them. I had 6 dogs before, and they were trained!
We are Chicagoland's premier dog walking company. Dogs Deserve It provides dog walking, pet sitting, and pet taxi services. DDI believes that an appropriately exercised dog is a much happier, trainable, and lovable pet. Thus, we put emphasis on energetic, purposeful, accountable exercise. This is called the Dogs Deserve It difference. About the Dogs Deserve It difference: Leash Etiquette -- All DDI walkers follow "leash etiquette" standards, teaching and reinforcing proper walking techniques and establishing boundaries. The dog is walked to these standards and the technique is shared with the owner. This means that DDI dogs do not aimlessly parade around city streets with limited direction, allowing the dog to pull on the leash and the walker to carry on a random cell phone conversation. Distance Tracking -- All DDI walkers wear a pedometer to track their walking time. There is no more guessing whether the dog has gone around the block or just out the door. DDI walks provide more than just an opportunity for daily output. Anecdotal notes left by the walker also include insight into behavioral and training issues. DDI is the first Chicago-based company to create an innovative walker tracking system. More Than Just a Walk -- DDI time with canine clients is interactive and purposeful. Owners report less anxiety, aggression, and other bad behavior from their canine companion. All these benefits are only available from our service.
I have been dog walking for over 6 years. I love dogs! I am a lifelong dog owner as well. I started with my friends' two puppies, and that leads to me, thru word of mouth and also Sitter City, getting for more "customers" (dogs). I also wanted to be available for my son and his school, after-school activities, etc. So it all works out. I enjoy taking care of dogs, and I love my job.
I'm just starting here. I'm honest, trustworthy and in good health. I love dogs; have owned 6; I don't have one now and miss their company.
Let me walk your puppy or dog! I love to walk and give canines the exercise they deserve. A walked dog is a happy dog.
I'll make sure your dog is walked, and I take care of what he/she has to do. Feel free to give me a call anytime.

Dog boarding school can be an effective way to train certain dogs, especially when there are extenuating circumstances, such as an owner who will be traveling when there is some sort of disruption going on at home. I offer intensive, loving, one-on-one training in my home, where your dog's educational experiences correlate with the life he or she will be returning to. Staying in my home with our loving, training-experienced family reduces your dog's anxiety and loneliness, while improving dog obedience, behavior, and manners. Your dog will learn self-control in behavior areas, such as jumping, chewing, digging, play-biting, barking, destructiveness, anti-social behavior, fearfulness, phobias, aggression, inappropriate elimination, and more. Your dog will also learn some new tricks in the form of willing responses to your cues! Asking your dog to sit, down, come, wait, stay, follow, go to a bed, and more when prompted -- and getting consistent results without bribes, punishment, or repetition -- will show you the joy and "new leash on life" my unique kind of positive reinforcement-based training can provide!
