FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
For some of our services you'll see where I charge a "service charge" this is generally between $60 and $75 and this covers travel expenses and other overhead costs to basically show up to your location and assess the situation, give an estimated total cost, etc. should you elect to hire us to perform the repairs or work that needs done, this service charge also covers the first hour of labor as well so if it's something that won't require additional parts or materials and it can be done in an hours time, you won't be charged any further than this but in the event that I have to go get parts, id note the time spent working on it before leaving in order that the service charge is fairly applied to the final bill and restart the clock upon my return
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Well, pretty much like I said in regards to the service charge. I typically prefer to speak to the customer on the phone prior to my arrival and if I can gain some insight into what exactly I'll be working with it helps me bring the proper tools and potentially parts necessary to perform the repairs or service that is required to professionally complete the job to the customers satisfaction
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Mostly lots of experience and training in the field. We've been in this line of work all our lives and without tipping my hat in regards to my age I'll just say it's over 25 years experience in all advertised areas of expertise. In addition, Jay has his EPA 608 certification type 1 &2 in refrigerant recovery and handling of the types of refrigerants used in modern HVAC equipment. This certification is what is legally required for us to be able to charge AC units as well as to recover refrigerants from old equipment when installing new units. It's also a good and responsible thing for a technician to get because it ensures that proper measures are being taken to protect the environment and ozone layer.
