Jay Herbert is a window and door superstar!! Working with Jay was a dream—he’s what you hope for when you first contact a business for help. He was friendly, knowledgeable, enthusiastic, dependable, and honorable. An absolute joy to work with. If there was a way I could give him extra stars I absolutely would, he’s that fantastic.
My mom had been trying to get her front window fixed for years. She would find one person after another who said they could fix it and then would vanish after seeing it. Finally, we lucked out and found Jay Herbert of America’s Finest Windows & Doors on Thumbtack. From out very first contact I was impressed by his great attitude and flexibility—he quickly understood our situation (my mom and I are in different states, but because she is elderly and could be easily confused, I would be the go-between). He immediately scheduled a time that worked for my mom to check out her big front window and door (her outer door had come off its hinges). I tell you, Jay is a master at communication. Since my mom’s preferred method of communication is by text, Jay took the time to text an introduction to her before arriving (it was a thoughtful touch that was much appreciated by both me and my mom).
Jay was incredible about keeping us posted if he might be running even a tiny bit late. And he showed up when he said he would. He was so personable, helpful, and easy to talk to. He checked out my mom’s window and door, made suggestions for the door to save her lots of money (a repair instead of a full replacement), and quoted us a fair price. We paid half down for him to place a custom order for her window dimensions. He ordered it immediately, and kept us posted through the entire process. When there was a delay in the window (through no fault of his own), Jay let us know.
When the window came in he put us at the top of his list to have it installed. He arranged a good time for my mom, and came out when he said we would (even letting us know he was running a tiny bit late—have I mentioned yet how fantastic Jay is with communication?). Jay arrived, installed the window, and worked hard to find creative solutions to fix my mom’s door. I’ve been getting nothing but happy and excited texts and pictures from my mom about how thrilled she is. The window looks fantastic, and her door has been fixed. I’m beyond delighted. If ever we need any other windows replaced, he will absolutely be the first person we call. I can’t recommend him highly enough to do justice to what an amazingly positive experience this has been. I had a great experience with America’s Finest Windows and Doors. I was in a bind and needed a window installed ASAP. I contacted AFWD and they responded to me within one hour. I explained the job to them and even sent pictures so they had a better idea of the job. I explained my situation and they were more than happy to accommodate.
I had a quote within a few hours of submitting my info and they were able to come out a day later to complete the work. I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for windows or doors. Thanks AFWD!!

I was so happy that the response time was hardly no wait. Reached out on Friday afternoon and the door was hung Wednesday morning.
The work was flawless, I couldn't have asked for a better installation.
