I have enjoyed working with Christine for many years now. We provide lunch for our employees that work on Saturdays (about 100). The Corner Cook is masterful at creating great tasting food that serves well considering our staff eats in shifts over a several hour period. Christine's creativity is at times mind boggling. I challenged her during a football season to have the Colts opposing teams city be the theme of her meals on that given Saturday. Her work was brilliant considering the cities represented...Tampa, Boston, New York, Miami, Buffalo to name a few. The question asked a million times all week is "What's Christine making this week?". I hope this week she and her staff make something for you so you can ask; "what's she making for us next time?". I have used her for intimate dinners for special customers or employees earning a special night as well as for preparing homemade meals frozen for family going through cancer treatments so their families didn't have to leave their home to get a good meal. You can't go wrong by choosing an experience with the Corner Cook! Call me if you want. I don't regularly give referrals. I'm a tough critic but for Christine it's easy and the right thing to do. I have been ordering from Christine Pruett since 2011 and her goodies are wonderful. I have even turned other people on to her treats, which they love. I have given them as gifts and even ordered a bunch just for my consumption. She even delivers! I will continue to order from her for as long as she is in business. Her Mexican Wedding Cakes are to die for!

Christine has helped me with several different catering jobs, and has always been able to provide good ideas, and reasonable pricing for the events. I highly recommend meeting with Christine for your catered events!

FAQs

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I am enrolled in the Hospitality program at Ivy Tech Community College. I am seeking my Assosicates degree in the Culinary Arts. I have thoroughly enjoyed learning more about my trade and meeting others in my field as well.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Be sure to look at reviews and testimonials. Those speak for themselves. If a provider has a good reputation, the client is more likely to experience a positive experience with that provider.

  • What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

So many times we hear the comment "I could prepare that meal for so much less". And that is possibly true in most cases. A prospective client needs to remember that the catering profession is a business, and like all businesses, our goal is to earn a profit. As a caterer, I will not take advantage of my customers, but I would ask that they keep in mind that I bring expertise to the table. And I take care of the stress of providing the food and beverage for their event so that they can breathe easier.
