Her teaching style is very empowering and gentle. I am a 20+ years old grown adult who have very minimum experience in music (but I really like listening the flute and playing it). Since music is really something that totally out of my knowledge, I am really nervous, almost scared, while I am learning my flute. Sometimes my tones and sounds get worse and worse if I didn’t play well for the first try (and I would keep apologizing as well haha) but Joyce stays calm and gentle, teach me skills to calm down while playing instrument, and never yell at me for that lol.
