Our 34 year old home is built on a steep and wood lot with limited access to the back yard, and when it was time to replace our rotten deck, we invited 6 companies to give us bids. Our deck is about 23 off the ground! Only two companies were brave enough to even offer us a bid, and Acumen won the contract. Their price was definitely not cheap, but this was a very challenging job. We are thrilled with the outcome and expect our new deck to last longer than WE will! The guys with Acument were VERY helpful in the planning process, very professional and prompt, and they worked great with the city of Shawnee building inspector. I don't know if the photos here will give you the idea, but take a look.

Acumen Renovations screened our covered deck and added a screen door. Initial process to get an estimate was very easy and informative. Estimate was provided quickly and options provided to ensure it met our financial needs. The plan to start was communicated as early as possible and the work was completed in a reasonable time and done professionally. Materials used feel to be superior to any other screened decks I have experienced. Everyone who worked on the project was friendly and professional. The project from estimation to completion was done before my expectations.We have loved having a covered and screened deck and it has basically added an extra room to our house!I have already recommended Acumen to other people. Acumen Renovations completed a window, sliding door, and siding replacement on a 35 unit apartment complex that required 84 windows and 24 sliding doors. Acumen quoted the job and worked with us to plan the job and communicate the start date to the tenants. The project went smoothly and the few times that Acumen ran into unexpected issues, those issues were communicated immediately, a resolution determined quickly, and the project continued forward. Acumen worked well with our maintenance team and the tenants. Working with Acumen simplified the project because they handled the windows, doors, and siding. They are a one stop shop. We are in the early stages of a second project with Acumen. I would feel confident recommending them for any project, large or small.
