Rose is an amazing marriage counselor. She is honest and cuts right to the heart of the issue. She doesn't just sit around and tell you how important you are. She is amazing. I would recommend her to everyone. She is super smart and knows exactly what she is doing.
Cheryl is great! Very professional and experienced. My wife and I came to her in a difficult time in our marriage. Cheryl gave us the tools and direction to navigate through our issues and we are now on a path to a stronger more loving marriage. I know the lessons we learned in counseling with Cheryl will stick with us for the rest of our lives.
My name is Dawn, and I am an independently licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I can attest to the quality of Anne's graduate work both clinically and academically as we pursued this degree as cohorts in the same graduating class, and served together in the same clinical internship setting. Anne has had excellent training, and is competent in her understanding and use of multiple therapeutic modalities. She has a balanced approach to her work, well utilizing both empathy and counsel. She has a fun and engaging personality with a wit that promotes easy delivery of information even in challenging circumstances. She is competent with a wide range of clients from adolecence to late adulthood and collaborates with her clients to assist with a broad spectrum of life's needs and challenges. I have also known Anne as a personal friend and have seen how she has endured through many difficult life circumstances with strength and perseverance. I have seen the quality and strong ethic of her work. I have also seen her compassionate and engaging personality promote her to high levels of recognition in other work environments and fields of interest. All of this said, I would give Anne a strong recommendation. Her knowledge and skills will serve you well! Dawn G., MS, IMFT Counselor, Marriage & Family Therapist
LaTasha was BEYOND fantastic and helpful with my wedding! She was on top of everything and if something went wrong, I certainly did not know about it. She made sure I had everything I needed plus some! The poor girl was running around getting everything set up (and literally, RUNNING), but she did it all to make sure I had the greatest wedding day! She packed up all my decor at the end of the day, put it all back in my car, and specifically left out stuff that she knew we would be looking for that night (bouquet, marriage certificate, shoes, toasting glasses, guest book, etc). She brought us all water during pictures to make sure we were hydrated, and packed up food for us at the end of the night and wrote sweet notes on our food. I would HIGHLY recommend LaTasha for any wedding or event! Without her, I do not think my wedding would have been as successful as it was. On top of her being a fantastic coordinator, she was a fantastic person to work with. She was so fun and so personable! I honestly cannot say enough about her. You won't be disappointed if you choose LaTasha as your coordinator. :)
When faced with an irreparable eight-year marriage (due to infidelity) and a child in the mix, my spouse and I never thought genuine reconciliation was possible for our family. Both of us were extremely skeptical of professional counseling due to a horribly biased past experience with another counselor. Though reluctant at first, we searched for help one last time--knowing our issues were too big and too many for us to solve on our own. By chance (or fate), we found Doris House and nearly six months later, my wife and I have recommitted to one another in a way unlike never before--and for the first time in our marriage the road ahead is brighter than ever thought possible. Sure, there are cheaper counsellors out there... but I assure you, every penny we've spent has been returned to us a hundred fold in her guidance, experience, compassion and professionalism! I'd recommend Doris to anyone seeking guidance in life, regardless of the matter. If you need help, don't wait--contact Doris. You'll be glad you did.
Bella works with me and my husband to help us work on difficulties in our marriage. She also counsels our daughter with some emotional issues that she's having. She's wonderful, patient, and helps us without bias. We really appreciate her in our lives!
Rachael is a wonderful therapist. Very knowledgeable, caring, and compassionate. Dedicated to her clients and her work as a therapist.
Doug is that rare bird in counseling: He has tools from two skill sets: Biblical knowledge/application wedded to an understanding of how and why we psychologically/sociologically communicate. Both skill sets are necessary for successful couples counseling. Understanding the "why" and "how" when two people in a marriage aren't doing well is vital. Then, showing the solution so they aren't left hopeless is even more vital. Going to the place where the "us" is strengthened is much better than a continual win/lose proposition when a couple have divergent views. Doug explains all this and handles confrontation, hurt feelings, etc. well and delves into the unstated/unsaid under the surface anger/frustration. We'd recommend him to anyone interested in helping their marriage.
She is an excellent counselor and teacher. When my wife and I had her. She made it an amazing experience for us. We went through her marriage counseling sessions and they were very informative and thought provoking. The activities we did helped my wife and I increase the love in our marriage and helped us grow.
Melinda is a pleasure to work with. She makes you feel at ease and respected. Her thoughtful insight is always helpful and provides much needed perspective to every matter that I see her about. I’d highly recommend Melinda for someone seeking a counselor who is professional, knowledgeable, and non-judgmental.
Brenda's influence on our marriage has been tremendous. We have learned to respect each other and also to choose how much we let others impact our relationship. I recommend her to any married couple having difficulties.
Brian literally saved my marriage. The only down fall is that we have to drive 30 minutes to get there.
It's an honor to be able to do this small thing for Rachel Asbury as a thank you for all that she has done for me. She has been my guide, anchor and counselor through some of the roughest times of my life. She is intuitive, compassionate, understanding and professional with me and has helped me to trust, and understand how to proceed through the murky waters that are my life. I feel that I am stronger and more able to move forward. It takes courage but she has assisted me in finding my own strengths and has been my support on the road towards mental health and a more productive life in both work and with my family. I will survive and she has been my guide to understanding how to do just that.
Brenda Shriner tops the list of skilled and effective counselors Ive had the pleasure of working with. Brendas breadth of knowledge and many years of experience combined with her keen instincts give her a therapeutic edge, whether counseling for relationship issues or workplace challenges. I would recommend her to my own family.
