FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Free estimates on new doors. Transparent price and if something unexpected comes up mid-job, we talk about it before the work is done. I run occasional promotions on new door packages (ask what's current when you reach out), and repair pricing is straightforward: you're paying for the fix, not a diagnostic runaround.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
You call or text, describe what the door is doing, and I'll usually tell you over the phone what it sounds like and what it roughly involves. For repairs, I carry springs and common parts on the truck, so most jobs are done in one visit, often same day. For new doors, I come out, measure, walk you through options that fit your home and budget, and give you a quote. Then I install, test everything above manufacturer specs, and show you how it all works before I leave.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I'm a licensed and insured general contractor, and EPA Lead-Safe certified, which matters if your home was built before 1978 and the old door needs to come out safely and up to code. My background is big-company training: I learned the trade doing high volume for a large door outfits before going out on my own. That's where "big company training, small company care" comes from.
