Introduction: As a personal trainer with nearly 20 years of fitness experience, an M.S. in exercise science and health promotion, and a B.S. in athletic training, I have the experience and education to help you achieve your fitness goals safely. I have worked with clients as young as 8 years old and trained clients over 70 years old. My clients have had goals such as: "I want to lose 100 pounds," and "I want to be able to get up the stairs at the high school football stadium so I can watch my grandson play football." My favorite part of being a personal trainer is seeing the amazing changes I am able to help my clients achieve. Whether you need my weight loss service, physical fitness programming, functional fitness training, or have just been released from a physical therapy clinic and want to make sure you remain injury free, I can help you! If you have any specific goals in mind, I'll show you how to get exactly what results you are looking for. If you don't have any specific goals yet and just know you want to get fit, I will help you develop some great goals, and then we will attain them together!

My experience with Kelly? Well I can say without any doubt that Kelly has been part of a real change in my life. Working with me for the last 18 months he has taught me the importance of exercise in your life, has become a good friend and continues to make a difference for me daily. He is the best trainer you will find as he understands the individual along with the physical side - none better. Mister Garroutte !

I have been training with Kelly for about 3 months and I couldn't be happier with my experience thus far! Kelly is a great trainer who is dedicated to his clients' goals and it's reflected in every workout he creates. Kelly makes workouts fun but difficult and has pushed me to things I never thought I could do in the gym. If you are looking for a trainer who truly wants you to reach your goals, who is extremely knowledgeable about every aspect of his field and is fun to train with, Kelly is your guy!

i gotta say...............YOU ARE THE MAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! my shoulder has improved waaaay quicker since doing those exercises that you told me about. it's almost pain free now when i move it into what was the most uncomfortable position. all i've been doing are the exercises that you mentioned. i haven't been doing any light lifting with weights or push ups or anything. now that the pain is almost gone, do you think i should start light lifting, or should i wait until it's totally pain free? i cannot wait until this is done and i can get back into the gym! thanks again!

This trainer has helped me regain my life! I'm in my 60's and was headed for assisted living if I didn't do something drastic with my health. With Kelly's help, not only do I have my independence still, but I am able to enjoy playing with my grandchildren! I am so thankful I found this personal trainer!

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

    I am a results based trainer. Meaning that everything I do with my clients to to achieve a specific goal. Some people wish to maintain or build strength so they can continue living in their own home and taking care of themselves; avoiding living in a nursing home. Some clients wish to lose fat, build muscle, and/ or improve their balance; while others wish to improve their golf drive, marathon time, etc.. Whatever the goal; together we can achieve it!!

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

    Simply having a certification does not assure that a personal trainer is highly educated or very experienced. Look for trainers who not only have a certificate by a reputable organization, but who also has a bachelors degree in a related field. Just because a trainer has a M.S. in an exercise related degree does not mean that their B.S. was in an exercise related field. Ask how long the trainer has been training and ask for references as well.
